...I want to draw your attention to someone who has been gaining a lot of attention lately,
and who fascinates me with every word that comes out of his mouth.

Bill Whittle is a conservative pundit who spends his days standing up for American values,
and inspiring others to do the same. He works with PJTV and Declaration Entertainment,
and stars in productions called "Afterburner" and "Firewall," where he comments on current
events, politics, and much more. He also has began doing videos he calls, "The Stratosphere Lounge,"
where he answers questions on any subject, put to him by his Facebook followers.

His newest, and most incredible, venture is his "Virtual Presidency" campaign.
After Obama was reelected, Bill decided to act as Virtual President to show America
what a REAL conservative would be like as president.

For every speech Obama gives, every SOTU address, every question he answers,
Bill will give the same speech, the same address, answer the same question...
...but he will do it as a patriotic conservative.

This man is smart, talented, fearless, and hilarious.
I would HIGHLY recommend watching some of his stuff.

WELCOME TO THE BATCAVE

It's back.

From December of 2002 until December of 2008, I wrote a series of long format essays and assorted other bits and pieces,
right here at Eject! Eject! Eject! When I moved to PJTV, they wanted me to move the blog with me, to the PJ Media page.

PJ Media never once tried to limit or control what I wrote in any way, but the fact is, what with the banner ads
and the general look being so different, it never really felt like home in the way the old place did.

She stayed boarded up from 2009 until now, the old girl did. But we are airing her out again.

All of the old nooks and crannies and hiding places should still be there... the failed but noble ideas for Ejectia!
culminating in the summer of 2007 remain as well. And, of course, the essays that started as stand-alone pieces
that eventually ended up in SILENT AMERICA are also still there, on the right sidebar.

I did a little re-reading of the smaller items, and it's a diary not only of my life but also a kind of diary of America,
at least as she was seen through my eyes. Anyway, it's all here, warts and all -- an open house from now on.

My new work will be appearing at Bill Whittle dot Net. But this will always be my first love.

Thanks to all of you who gave me the chance to become the man I am today,
and thanks especially for your ongoing support in these interesting times.

Following the 2012 election wherein President Obama was re-elected to a second term, Whittle asked, "Where do we go from here?"

After speaking about the current state of affairs and presenting his solutions, Whittle posed as "the virtual president of the USA" by forcefully addressing some harsh questions from the audience...

You know what I found both powerful and charming about this “virtual address”?

He largely made his points without having to attack. He created his points by sticking up for them, not resorting to tearing down his object of criticism.

I remember years ago I was in the market for a car, and it was going to be a Ford Taurus or a Saturn. When I went to the Ford dealership, the sales guy asked us what we were looking at as an alternative to his product. When we said a Saturn sedan, he didn’t tell us anything about the Taurus, but spent plenty of time tearing down the Saturn.

As we left, my wife and I looked at each other, and saw a mirror of distaste in each of our faces. When we had previously gone to the Saturn dealer, the approach was 100% no deviation the opposite. The Saturn dealer also asked what alternatives we were considering, but he didn’t even bother doing a comparison. He never even mentioned the Taurus. He simply explained the features of the Saturn, and did it well and convincingly.

Anyway, Bill Whittle’s defense of capitalism was remarkable in that it was entertaining, educational, convincing and nearly irrefutable. It likely would have made a believer out of Marx, in my opinion.

Low information voter......... so true. It’s soo difficult to try and get a morsel of truth for them to accept. If the media wants to name a winter storm ( don’t recall that ever happen before) more LIV’s will know that than who is being interviewed for Sec Defense or head of CIA.

While I’ve just been recently exposed to Bill Whittle, I’d like to share some observations.

1. You can’t fight city hall, so why bother.

Welcome, to the Machine.

2. If Romney were elected, it would have made little difference.

3. The public changes “Before” the politicians.

4. Virtue, exists among ALL men. It is just that some folks will refuse their own nature and work to maintain their lifestyles by undermining the virtue in others.

5. By-passing the state. He is talking about a diffusion of authority. He’s suggesting an economy of “one to one”.

This is the core of Bill’s position. The State is reactive to the people and it is its fundamental flaw.

However, the State knows this, and will continue to put up “regulatory hurdles” to maintain control.

As an example:

If I were to start shuttling people to and from their home and work for a fee, in my private vehicle, how long before I would NEED a license? Would I have to comply with the ADA? What would my insurance cost? Could I refuse passengers? Could I take a day off without getting sued?

So, do I try to get permission? or ask for forgiveness?

I used the example of commuting intentionally.

If your not familiar, it is an example of what Bill is talking about. How people will take things into their own hands, through common sense and mutual agreement.

While driving in and out of Washington DC at all hours, I noticed a strange line of people, seemingly without purpose, gathered on the southbound lane of 14th st at the Mall. These folks where only there between 3:30 and 5pm during the week. There was no bus stop, just a line of business men and women standing in a very orderly line.

Well before cell phones and the Internet, somehow this line, this spot made sense.

If you are unfamiliar with the traffic and challenges commuting in and out of D.C., this may surprise you. In order to save time, you can get on the HOV lanes, but you need passengers. Both drivers and passengers recognized this and Slugging was born.

Slugging is a term used to describe a unique form of commuting found in the Washington, DC area sometimes referred to as “Instant Carpooling” or “Casual Carpooling”. It’s unique because people commuting into the city stop to pickup other passengers even though they are total strangers!

However, slugging is a very organized system with its own set of rules, proper etiquette, and specific pickup and drop-off locations.

It has thousands of vehicles at its disposal, moves thousands of commuters daily, and the best part, it’s FREE! Not only is it free, but it gets people to and from work faster than the typical bus, metro, or train.
