Seven Reasons Why it's a Photo-opp (Skeet-Gate)

I'm sure we've all seen by now the "photo op" of President Obama shooting skeet. If he's shooting skeet then I'm Daffy Duck.

Skeet [clay disks of bright colors] are thrown by a machine from two towers erected to the right and left of the shooter. (There are other set ups like ones used for "sporting clays" but that isn't represented in the White House photo release.) Usually, the skeet is thrown about ten or more feet above the ground. The shooters are arranged in a semi-circle at various stations around the semi-circle. The "group" of shooters lines up at one stage and each shoot in turn. They then move to the next station and shoot again. Each spot is designed for the shooter to shoot above the horizon. This is for safety and learning too that when in the field, a hunter never shoots a shotgun below the horizon. A small fact that Vice President Dick Cheney forgot when he wounded his hunting partner a few years ago. Skeet are then thrown either from right to left or left to right or both at once. It is very challenging and the shooter either uses a double barrel shotgun or a semi automatic shotgun. Each shooter is limited to two shots.

All in all, this was staged like everything else in President Obama’s life. That he says that he's all for sport shooting or hunting is all well and good; but, the Second Amendment says nothing about sport shooting or hunting. It is about a right of possession and not about a right to perform an activity.
God help us in the next four years.

Well he is not skeet shooting. He could be skoot shooting where as the prey is skooting along the ground 25 to thirty yards out! I also noted that the shot gun has no kick to it!!!

Of course it is a photo op. The Won shot (no pun intended) off his mouth and said he had shot a gun.

I have never been skeet shooting, I admit. Only dove and quail hunting.

But I have never seen anyone hold a shotgun that high on their shoulder and against their cheek. Looks like lots of future pain to me. Of course, maybe some shoot that way. But I’ve never seen it.

Forgetting about all of the mechanics of shooting that way, the picture looks like 0bama fired a shotgun in front of a green screen, and the background (maybe even the smoke effects) were added. The picture is conveniently cropped so that it's impossible to get any of the depth of field cues that tell you immediately it's been overlaid (his feet for example, with the ground.) Everything in the frame that isn't him is essentially at infinity.

I say it's a paste-up.

What I find most pathetic (and telling, as if we need any more of these ginormous “hints”) is that the White Hut found it necessary to compound the first asburd lie with another even more absurd lie as “proof” of the veracity of the first lie.

This is the kind of silly, obvious deceit that a small child nonetheless thinks he can pull off. Only it’s not remotely amusing, because this POS is “leader of the free world”.

The world as viewed in a funhouse mirror is more stable than this present one.

When one is shooting a shotgun, one leans into the gun, not standing like reading a teleprompter. If he actually fired that gun, I’ll bet he has one hell of a bruise on his shoulder. Skeet also simulates birds flying in the air, not rabbits running on the ground.

Is there ANYTHING that is not fake about this guy????

Smoke going straight out the barrel is normal, but what the heck is that second smoke stream shooting behind and away from the barrel? Perhaps some sort of release value to diminish the recoil from the shot but I've never seen that on a range.

If you look at a good quality pic of this and make it big enough you can see the porting on the barrel. The odd thing is there is no smoke coming out of any of the porting on the near side. Also odd is that there appears to be a number of ports on the near side but only one stream of smoke coming out the other side. Wouldn't both sides of the barrel have an equal number of porting holes?
