News of President Obama's apparently long-secret fondness for skeet shooting came as a surprise to those who say they have witnessed the president's "awkward" attempts at pinging the (clay) pigeons.
~~SNIP~~
"The only time he shot skeet was for President's Cup," said the source, referring to a shooting competition tradition involving the presidential Marine guards. "I was there. He stayed for about five minutes, and couldn't leave fast enough."
Skeet shooting "is very hard," said the source. "Especially for someone not used to guns ... He couldn't have been more uncomfortable."

I suspect he does not even know the difference between trap and skeet. From my experience you get good at trap then try your hand at skeet. It’s a whole different ballgame.
The only skeet he’s shot is on Larry Sinclair’s chin.

Ooops.... sorry for the double post.
Don’t know why.
Ouch that one is going to leave a mark....;).....!
Be sure to always vote Democrat.
Very true my FReind. 99.99% of the population doesn’t know the difference between the two venues.
“Hardly ever?” Bullcarp. How about “never?”
It was easy for me and fun also. Took to it like a duck to water.
Glad I wasn’t taking a drink when I read your post!! I would have either choked or ruined my computer!
Could we have a contest between Palin and Obama shooting trap or skeet or ...whatever. I say, let them track a Moose and shoot it, and whoever does it first gets to be President.
I think that’s an insult to Larry Sinclair. We all know Obama’s the “catcher.”
I did do 1/2 dozen shoots over the years in just buddy fun matches. I did real well except problems on the doubles. The second shot was a tough for me. I always blamed the crummy lighting ;--]. Beginners (myself being no exception) usually get surprised by how hard it is to hit from the #4 spot... they are moving pretty dang fast. You have to know your loads very well to hit from this spot.
I wouldn't necessarily call it a lot harder than trap like a lot of others, but it is definitely a completely different game
