This morning, many in the media went all in with a sanctimonious attack against gun-rights supporters who they accused of heckling Neil Heslin, the parent of a 6-year old boy murdered in the Sandy Hook massacre. The only problem is that it was all a lie. Mr. Heslin was not heckled.
If you look at the full, unedited tape (which was first obtained by Twitchy), you'll see that after 15 minutes of the audience remaining respectfully silent as Mr. Heslin spoke out against assault weapons, he then turns to ask the audience a direct question:
I ask if theres anybody in this room that can give me one reason or challenge this question why anybody in this room needs to have one of these assault-style weapons or military weapons or high-capacity clips.
Mr. Heslin then pauses waiting for someone in the audience to answer. His question is respectfully asked but no one says a word.
Then Mr. Heslin says:
Not one person can answer that question.
And it's only then that a few people do answer the question, and do so respectfully.
The full, unedited video proves the media is lying. This is not heckling, this is someone respectfully asking a question and receiving a respectful answer.

WHEN will FR's software ever get fixed, once and for all...?!
This is the same sort of "mistake" (made by the same "made-up news" organization) as when they couldn't get pickup trucks to explode on tv, they installed incendiary devices to ensure they pickup trucks would explode "on-cue."
It's NOT a mistake if you purposely make something happen, Anderson!

If Zimmerman collects on NBC then other innocent powerless citizens will also be able to sue the MSM liars... It’s time to fight the bullies.
What a bunch of lying *ssholes!

Briefly set aside your stance on gun control. What horrible human being heckles a grieving parent in such a way? http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/01/29/father-of-newtown-victim-heckled-at-hearing.html

“...why anybody in this room needs to have one of these assault-style weapons or military weapons or high-capacity clips.”
Because the 2nd Amendment says I CAN, and the amount of ammunition you need is DETERMINED AFTER THE GUN FIGHT.
But you got a quadruple-ping -- congratulations! Most I ever got was a triple.
Setup? Was the audience told to remain quiet? If so Mr. Heslin knew he could word his question in a specific way to make it look like no pro-gun audience member could justify high capacity magazines or semi-auto rifles.
You don't happen to do undercover work for the FBI/DHS do you?
Now that you and millions of other Americans know this, WHAT are you going to do about it? Nothing?
What kind of a response is that? Are you challenging or taunting mmichaels1970? He just made a statement & observation is all, which is correct BTW.
I am reading, writing, calling, signing, contributing $ AND have my own contingency preparations underway as well, for if or when the meltdown occurs.
What are you about it? Nothing? Anything?
Perhaps you could fill in the blanks for the rest of us rank amateurs as to what your plans or strategies are, rather than just taunting mmichaels1970.
Whether sincere or given to him to say there is an answer to his question. But people who live in urban do not understand it.
...why anybody in this room needs to have one of these assault-style weapons or military weapons or high-capacity clips.
Farmers need to do vermin hunting sometimes. A 30 round Bushmaster is better than most rifles for this.
If you are camping in the true wilderness you might want to have some protection. Not necessarily from criminals - but from bears. A Bushmaster does well for this.
If you rely on yourself for home protection as most rural dwellers do - a Bushmaster AR is a logical choice. Especially if your aim with a pistol is poor.
If you have coyotes and do not want your dog eaten - a Bushmaster AR does the trick nicely. They usually travel in packs. Do you want more than 10 rounds - you bet. 20 is good. 30 is better for this job.
Some people even do hunt with a Bushmaster style rifle. .223 and 5.56 are not as effective as a standard deer rifle - because they are less ‘powerful’ - but some do hunt with ARs and for smaller game the smaller projectile is preferred.
Josh Sugermann has vexxed our county with the scary ‘assault’ term.
Mechanically, operationally, functionally the AR type guns are the same as hunting rifles used everyday.
And yes, there are good, very good, reasons for people to have these.
The man seemed sincere but it has only been little over a month. Not a long grieving period. Yet the politicians leveraged the incident and him for their own good. They are the disgusting ones.
Agreed, with the exception of protection from bears. I’d rather have my Beowulf .50cal w/ 335gr HPs. Just sayin’...
I am going to have to stop posting/reading here. Nothing is being done to stop any of this and reading about it is going to ruin my health. I'm serious. Now, I just read about some students saying the pledge with "...one nation under Allah." I guess the liberal media won't care about that, will they? It's nearly over.
My apologies. Didn't mean it as a taunt. Only wishing we had some leadership with backbone to stand up, rally people together, march on Washington, and tell them, "Hell no!" How are the liberals able to fill the plaza with so many people? Why can't we get together and caravan to Washington with millions? Do we not have the numbers?
.50 335gr HP!
Won’t be much left of the coyotes if I hit them with that!
Nice stopping power there.
Under 200yds, that .50 (not BMG round) Beowulf is unbelieveable.

We have no idea what has been threatened behind the scenes to people like Limbaugh, but I suspect he'll do what he can. The Chicago mob plays a very rough game of hardball; Act II of this drama will be interesting.

Fox News Ratings Hit 12-year Low
Wednesday, January 30, 2013 09:49 PM
By: Matthew Auerbach
Fox News had its worst prime time ratings in January in the coveted 25-54 demographic since August 2001, a 12-year low, and its lowest total day ratings since June 2008, Politico reports.
The year started off badly for Foxs On the Record with Greta Van Susteren in particular, which suffered its worst month ever among the 25-54 demo. January also saw the channels lowest total viewership in the 10 p.m. hour since July 2008.
The numbers werent all bad. Fox still had nine out of the top 10 shows for the month. The only program to crack Fox’ total dominance was MSNBCs The Rachel Maddow Show which came in at the 10th spot.
