In the close-knit world of ultra-Orthodox Judaism, community members know the modesty rules as well as Wall Street bankers who show up for work in a Brooks Brothers suit. Women wear long skirts and long-sleeved, high-necked blouses on the street; men do not wear Bermuda shorts in summer. Schools prescribe the color and thickness of girls stockings.
The rules are spoken and unspoken, enforced by social pressure but also, in ways that some find increasingly disturbing, by the modesty committees. Their power is evident in the fact that of the half dozen womens clothing stores along Lee Avenue, only one features mannequins, and those are relatively shapeless, fully clothed torsos.
There are quite a few men, especially in Williamsburg, who consider themselves Guts polizei, said Yosef Rapaport, a Hasidic journalist, using the words for Gods police.
Its somebody who is a busybody, and theyre quite a few of them zealots who take it upon themselves and they just enforce. Theyre considered crazy, but people dont want to confront them.

I mean God Himself drew pictures, in crayon, in your Book, so we stiff necked Jews and Gentiles would recognize Him in the rest of the Book. I believe we Catholics and Jews have favor and share the same destiny, remnant though it may be.
That is incorrect. The Torah is the Final Religion, as is made clear in numerous places. The "new testament" selectively quotes (out of context) verses from the Prophets and then claims J*sus "fulfilled" them, and since chrstians accept the authority of the "new testament" right off the bat, they accept this claim as absolute truth.
If the truth of the "new testament" is not assumed, the claims of chrstianity cannot be vindicated.
Chrstianity doesn't need to be Judaized. It needs to be replaced with the Noahide Laws.
While the percentage of "ultra-Orthodox" Jews who vote Democrat in national elections is still too high, I doubt it quite reaches those numbers.
Local elections are another matter. Unfortunately, NYC is a one-party town and Orthodox Jewish leaders have a three thousand year history (from the time of the Babylonian Exile) of trying to maintain good relations with whoever is in power. I don't like it either, but that's the way it is. There are people, however, who are working to reverse this.
One of chrstianity's many problems (and it has several) is that it threw over (at least in part) statutory for salvational religion. Left wing social religion could not have developed without this first great error. The western "enlightenment" chrstian conservatives champion against islam (but not against chrstianity) is part of the problem. If "western civilization" had practiced a purely statutory religion things would probably not have gone south this fast.
Except for the fact that the most damaging movements against Western Civilization, such as the Frankfurt School of Interdisciplinary Social Theory, have been of primarily Jewish origin.
If by "Jewish origin" you mean founded by ethnic Jews, then I agree. If by "Jewish origin" you mean the Frankfurt School has roots in the Holy Torah (Written or Oral), I would like you to provide an example.
Besides, as I thought I had made clear, "western civilization" was flawed from birth. I'm here to champion G-d and His Laws, not anybody's "civilization."
I deeply appreciate that response of yours. It was very informative for me to hear a Jew’s understanding of the New Testament and of Jesus the Christ, rather than hearing the non-Jew interpretation on what a Jew may believe.
I never heard such a thing, however, that Jews believe the New Testament
is a pseudo testament (ie., “new testament”); a product of selective quotes of verses of the Prophet; makes “claims”; Christians immediately accept as absolute Truth. Stunning.
It seems to me only a divine conspiracy could pull off such a hoax, across the span of the ages. However, I can not come up with a brighter idea to use as an arguement than the one you offered. I mean deniability would be key to justify rejecting the Messiah when He came, and easier. Just say its a hoax has to work. There’s not much else to profligate is there? A 2000 year hoax. Perfect.
I never heard the Jewish take on Jesus expressed at all, and I do appreciate you bothering to answer. I just can’t get my head around it in one swallow.
I know my love, respect and regard for you as a Jew and as my elder brother and for Israel is solid, as in solidarity, no matter what our differences. You are most easy to pray for.
Peace be with you.
