Israeli intelligence source confirms underground nuclear facility sustained major damage in a mega explosion last week.
An Israeli intelligence source has confirmed Irans Fordow underground nuclear uranium enrichment facility sustained major damage in a mega explosion that occurred last week.
Fordow, which contains at least 2,700 centrifuges for uranium enrichment, is located deep beneath a mountain near the Iranian city of Qom.
Some 200 workers were trapped inside the facility at the time, according to a report published Monday by The Times, a UK-based newspaper.
The report quoted an Israeli official as saying Were still in the early stages of trying to comprehend what happened and the extend of its significance. The source added that it was not yet known whether the explosion was an act of sabotage or incidental.
The official declined to reveal whether Israeli aircraft had been in the vicinity at the time of the explosion.
Iran has denied that any explosion occurred at the facility, claiming in a statement to the official IRNA news agency that reports of the blast were nothing more than Western propaganda.

hoping this all pans out!!
I would suspect that this computer virus thing...just digs a bigger and bigger hole for them. They would literally have to destroy the entire program, go to the Chinese, and beg off an entirely new trail to nuke power. Then hope...that no one sneaks in another virus package.
those cascading centrifuges spin at 10,000 RPM? If hundreds of them flew apart at once it would make for some interesting mass destruction. My scenario is a saboteur inserts an infected flash drive. The virus is timed to do the destruct 30 days later after he (saboteur) has time to cover his tracks or leave Iran
Can you believe how many FReepers are in denial that this could have/did happen? I’d expect more celebration rather than the ‘in your dreams’ I keep seeing on these Fordo threads.
You have to be skeptical and hopeful at the same time. My bet is this one is for real. As Drudge says — DEVELOPING!
duh
I think most Freepers are hoping that something big did happen. It’s just that such news being reported by bloggers can be suspect, until it’s confirmed by sites like Breitbart.
I suspect a capacitor-bank explosion caused by StuxNet.
Cheers!

Hope it is the top scientists and not poor worker bees.
I hear everyone who escaped was in on it. In fact I hear we have spies inside the highest levels of each plant. Their own people cannot be trusted now and the Iranians know it. I suspect heads will be rolling everywhere.
You’ve got to hand it to the Israelis, they make James Bond look like a ticket inspector.
And in all this, they overcame intentions of malice from Russia, China and the Obama administration.
Lesson is, don’ **** with the Israelis.
If they don’t trust their own people, all they need to do is kill all of them and that will solve several problems.
Too bad Zero hasn’t learned that lesson.
