We all know that the left seeks to ban all guns, and one of their tools is the misuse of language. Therefore we need to RENAME those that they refer to as "Assault Weapons". Which of these three alternatives to you think is best? Please express your belief:
A) Homeland Defense Rifle, B) Sport/Utility Rifle, or C) Tyranny Response Rifle
Please VOTE your opinion!
And "high capacity magazines" are actually: "Standard Capacity" magazines.
We can't let them choose the terminology to frame the discussion.

“Defense Rifles” is best. Short, sweet, and turns the meme on its head.
I call an assault rifle a fullly automatic weapon, only available to the military, police, and holders of a special federal license.I think the we and the gun industry do ourselves a dis-service by playing into the fraud thet a simi-automatic weapon is an “assault rifle”.
If I may quote the so called smartest women in government What difference does it make if you call it a semi automatic rifle or a peace maker?
The NRA is already referring to these as Modern Sporting Rifles (MSR). I suggest you follow their lead and not randomize the debate by introducing additional names.
Good idea to try to win the battle of words.
Liberals have ALWAYS out-done conservatives with their slick packaging of feel-good terms for Marxist policies: “Affirmative Action, Multiculturism, Diversity.”
Their successful use of slick terms has deceived the public and “Assault Rifle” is yet another such term.
The “General Welfare” rifle
because liberals will never let the right to “general welfare” be removed from the constitution.
its happening now
was watching a bunch of lib talking heads the other day , talking about guns and several of them went on about how they “grew up around their families guns”, and the were literally talking to the floor as if they were admitting some family disgrace. the mood of the rest of this sorry bunch was practically consolation for their tortured experience. disgusting, but also comical.
Ditto.
LOL!!!
Totally funny because it’s totally true.
How about “high-powered pea shooter” (as in eat your...)?
Where exactly does one go to view liberals in groups (other than a New England college campus?)
Starbucks?
Actually, I like "assault rifle" just fine ... because we both know that that was what they were invented for, back in World War II.
The SKS and German G43, which was based on Russian design, were sturdy, lightweight, moderately-powerful and modestly-accurate ("good enough for government work"). Their medium-powered cartridges outperformed the pistol ammo used by submachine guns, and they were wieldy.
Our own M-1 Carbine belonged in the same class and is probably the best of the bunch. I know I wouldn't mind owning a fine vintage Rock-Ola or Underwood carbine. My uncle dragged one all the way across North Africa, Sicily, and France with the Big Red One, and it got him home.
Some of them don't have full-auto capability any more. Some never did (the M-1 Carbine, lots of original WW II SKS's).
A test pilot of my acquaintance liked to talk about his adventures. A story he told about flying over Korea was about the first encounter he had with a Mig-17 fighter, after many missions facing only the Mig-15. He described the encounter as one in which he flew a pass, using a maneuver which he expected would gain him an advantage - but afterward the position was still not in his favor. He flew another pass, with the same result. At that point, he said, we both got the same idea at the same time - This is too close to being a fair fight! - and both headed home at high speed. Well, firearms tend to produce that same feeling in strong people when faced with weak - but armed - people. Which is why Equalizing weapon" is a fine description of a gun purchased, as nearly all are, for defensive purposes. There are thousands of gun owners for each gun murder committed in a given year, and its not likely that a given gun murder was committed by an owner whose possession of the gun would have stood legal scrutiny even before the murder. So its clear that guns are bought almost exclusively for defensive purposes - and that fact has a halo effect tending to make criminals less brazen and more circumspect than they otherwise might be.
Once they learned that most Americans would respond emotionally and not logically, all sorts of speech has changed to outright lies and nonsense.
I noticed ‘their’ experimentation with pulling wool over our eyes with Clinton - beyond what the definition of is is.
When they hear “assault rifle” they don’t think; they feel. And there are too damn many people not thinking anymore.
