Two-time Academy Award winner Jane Fonda will be honored at the upcoming 2013 TCM Classic Film Festival in a two-part celebration of her career. The upcoming three-day extravaganza, which takes place Thursday, April 25 through Sunday, April 28 in Hollywood, will feature Fonda having her hand and footprints enshrined in concrete in front of TCL Chinese Theatre. And the star of such memorable films at Klute and Coming Home, will help introduce a screening of 1981 theatrical On Golden Pond, which gave her the opportunity to work with her legendary father, Henry Fonda, for the first and only time.
We couldnt be happier to be able to salute Jane Fonda at the TCM Classic Film Festival, said TCM host Robert Osborne. Shes an extraordinary actress and a truly fascinating woman, and despite her two Academy Awards, too little has been said and written about her work as an actress and all those amazing, top-tier films shes made. Having Jane in person at the festival will also give film fans the rare opportunity to hear directly from the lady herself about her career, including her work with her father on the film On Golden Pond and how the father-daughter relationship they portrayed on screen in many ways paralleled their own complicated relationship.
Fondas hand and footprints ceremony will take place Saturday, April 27, with her imprints to be placed next to her fathers spot in the theatres famous courtyard. This marks the third consecutive year TCM has featured a hand and footprint ceremony at TCL Chinese Theatre. In 2011, Peter OToole was the honoree, followed in 2012 by Kim Novak.
Although I despise Hanoi Jane, I must confess to enjoying the films she made in her 'sex kitten' days when she was quite the yum-yum. This would be from the late 50s to mid 60s (Tall Story, Period of Adjustment, Walk on the Wild Side, Sunday in New York, Barefoot in the Park, Cat Ballou, etc.). I really don't care for any of herr stuff once she became a 'serious' actress and traitor. However, I still watch those early pre-treason films.
Is it wrong to ask the Lord to let me live long enough to piss on Hanoi Jane's grave?

I don’t watch her. But, I’m told her acting was terrible.
