A woman returning from a cruise vacation is being held in a central Florida jail on a warrant from 1991.
Brevard County Jail records show 41-year-old Robin Hall is being held on an out-of-county warrant. Shell stay there until she is transferred to Orange County possibly on Thursday where she was arrested more than 20 years ago for stealing a pack of cigarettes at a local Wal-Mart. She was 18 at the time.
Hall tells WESH-TV she owes the state $85 in court costs.
I just want it all to be over so I can go home, Hall told the station.
She was taken into custody last week after arriving at Port Canaveral from vacation with her family. WESH reports that when authorities checked the cruise ships passenger list for terrorists, they found a warrant for Hall.
WESH-TV reports that Hall, who is an architect, designs jet engines for Pratt & Whitney.
Jail records dont list an attorney.
And meanwhile law enforcement is busy doing exactly WHAT?
How dumb.
A misleading headline?
Wow. Never saw that before.

Good lesson for her kids, though!
I feel so safe now.
A warrant for unpaid court costs?!? That seems a bit severe. Here in West Virginia all they do with unpaid fines and court costs is not let you renew your drivers license until they are paid.
Statute of Limitations?
Let this be a lesson to her. Next time, she needs to get herself elected to Congress as a Democrat, then she can steal billions with no fear of prosecution or arrest.
Now if they could only apprehend Michael Phelps bong, society would be saved!!!
Stealing a pack of smokes 20 years ago? Yep, arrest her and confiscate all her belongings too. Why, she’s not fit to live a free life, doggone it!
Meanwhile Jon Corzine sits by the pool and laughs...
Just curious—Where’s the line?
Below what dollar amount, or after what period of time, does a crime cease to be a crime?
Only felonies have a statute of limitations.
Misdemeanors are forever.
</sarcasm>
The first thing that came to mind was “Statute of Limitations”. But, I suppose once you flee the jurisdiction, the clock stops.
I remember that about a year before he ran for President, Barack Obama made a splash locally because he returned to the Commonwealth to pay outstanding parking tickets in Cambridge, from his Harvard days. He could have been arrested at the 2004 Democratic convention in Boston, where he first came to national attention. Sounds like a missed opportunity to me.
This is what happens when a state goes to the “Dark Side” during an election.
Obozo did carry Flori-DUH in the last election, now it is a police state with lib-tards in charge.
In 1991 more people smoked and a pack of cigarettes had a higher intrinsic value, that’s why!
Yet they can’t find 12,000,000 illegal aliens, many who are collecting government assistance
Does someone now get a bonus for this bust?
Here in Pennsylvania some Democrat controlled money-grubbing boro near Pittsburgh jailed a woman for 140 bucks in unpaid wage taxes.
