Dozens of people lined up outside a South Austin gun shop Monday. They fear this new presidential term will mean tougher gun laws.
Monday morning dozens of people lined up outside Central Texas Gun Works in South Austin. Some waited as long as five hours to get the chance to purchase a part to make an AR-15.
"Lower receivers seem to be sold out throughout the nation so as soon as you find out one's in stock like the line shows, everybody rushes for them," gun owner Jeremy Paul said.

And all these people buying these items with the knowledge that they could be banned and subject to being illegal in the future....
does the left really believe they’re going to hand them over docilely if they decide to come get them?
A part to make an AR-15...lol, the lower IS the AR-15...
Of course they have to make a big deal over a couple of accidental shootings.
Cool - the gun dealer is a black dude.
$400 for a stripped lower is insane.
Never seen such panic. Milhouse cant ban anything unless it’s for use by entities of the Federal bureaucracy. His edicts carry no weight with regards to the established law of the land - State by State!
Might as well gives these guys a shout-out.
They’re ‘still’ in business (for now)
I’d been putting off getting an AR forever, since I try to only use cash these days...there’s always something more pressing to do or buy. But 2 weeks after Hussein was reelected, I broke out the 1 Visa we have left and picked up a Cole LE 6920 at Walmart for $980. I just had a feeling zerO was going to find some way to do what he pro missed the Brady bunch “off the record”. Man am I glad I did that! Paid it off last payday too.. I only picked up 1 30rd PMAG before arms’ageddon started :(
Went to HGCA gun show in Houston last weekend. HUGE crowd. Prices are as follows:
1000 round case of Federal 55gr ammo-$1150
Stripped ar15 lower-$400
AR15 lower with parts kit, buffer tube and buttstock-$700
Colt LE AR 15-$2400
Daniel Defense AR15-$3000
S&W MP15-$2200
Complete AR15 flat top uppers,various mfgs-$840-$950
Mag Pul magazines-$49-$52
Used USGI mags-$20
I expect ammo and uppers to retreat in price somewhat, maybe complete rifles too. Not so sure about mags.
My Wife got the fever for a Bushmaster M4 ($995) at a show about two weeks before Sandy Hook They delayed her and she never went back.
Went to a gun show about 2 weeks ago and what they had was about 80% higher in price. (ammo supple was meager and expensive)
Guess we’ll wait a bit longer.
I don’t know if there’s any truth to the following, but it’s circulating in emails- take with a grain of salt until someoen verifies the stats:

ALL the countries above America have 100% gun bans
Unless and until the Democrats retake control of the House, no controversial laws are getting passed, so nothing is getting banned.
Which means that retaking the house is the A#1 priority of the Democrats. So always keep in mind that every issue, including gun control and fiscal cliffs, are nothing more than tools to bring that about.
That’s what I was thinking...then my VERY blue state started making noises. Many of us have a 2-front war to fight.
This happened in Texas and Texas says no federal agent can remove a gun from a Texan and that any attempt to do so is a violation of the constitution. A bill in our legislature right now says any federal agent trying to do this will be arrested and put in prison for five years. These Texans are safe to buy these and keep them.
Your mileage in other states may vary.
Were there many buyers at those prices?
After searching many web sites and the gun show this weekend I finally found a local company that is getting ready to manufacture a limited run of stripped lowers for $385. Also ordered a full upper for $915. Should have everything in a couple of weeks. Let me know if anyone wants the info.
Was only there 2 hours. Magazines had waiting lines inside the show to buy. Couple of the uppers went the first 2 hours of show.
Not going to work through your whole list, but not true as to Mexico.
The facts are strong enough in our favor. No reason to make up easily disprovable stories - unless one is an undercover liberal.
The statement that all countries above the US have 100% gun ban is total BS.
I live in the Philippines. I can’t buy a gun because I’m a foreigner, but any Filipino can buy a gun to be kept in their home. If you want to carry outside of the home, you need a permit from the Police Chief, but it can be obtained.
Guns are plentiful in the Philippines and I will bet that most of the other countries above the US also allow private gun ownership.
Good luck finding an upper to match.
