You really have to wonder about the lack of security at any business that would allow a new employee access to that amount of money. I used to manage a very successful fast food operation and if any of my managers allowed a till to build to more than $300 to $400 dollars before being skimmed they would be in serious trouble! Just some information, my site had six registers running peak times breakfast, lunch and dinner. A very high volume location.

Back in the day worked at a gas station in Brooklyn.
First day on the job one of the employees never did a “drop” and walked off with hundreds of dollars.
My last day on the job was when we came and and found the previous shift tied up in the bathroom during a robbery. I walked out and never even went back to pick up my check.
