The producer of a documentary on the civil right to keep and bear arms has posted a trailer in advance of the films release that provides a powerful, timely and resonating counter to the ongoing media frenzy pushing for citizen disarmament edicts.
Kris Koenig, Emmy award-winning producer and writer, and founder of Dead Patriot Films, Inc., which is producing Assaulted, Civil Rights under Fire, has been the driving force behind an effort to provide an all-encompassing look at the individual right recognized by the Second Amendment, both from an historical perspective and as a contemporary societal necessity.
This film will compare the historical aspects of gun control targeting the indigenous tribes of North America and emancipated slaves, through the Jim Crow era to todays laws that favor rich elitists and denies the rights guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment to the most vulnerable in our society, the films website explains. This documentary takes a critical look at the original intent of the current guns laws across the nation in contrast with crime and murder statistics before and since their implementation; and compares these laws to those currently proposed by the President and various states.

"Civil" rights are granted by government.
It's a natural right. A God-given right.
I wonder how many people have no clue about the meaning of what you just posted.
It's a natural right. A God-given right.
Amen
The vid is hard to find at your link.

Not great. Imo.
No vid at link. Went to site and searched, got nothing.
Thanks for the link. Could you be more specific about what you did not like, or did?
I have not been able to watch it.
I’ve owned guns for 40 years. I like it, would be interested in seeing the whole thing.
I watched the trailer, and I'm unsure who made it - the people who are for guns or the people who are against. 80% of the screen time is spent on airing standard, tired gun-grabbers' talking points and 20% is spent on showing big, bad guns shot by persons unknown and for no good reason.
IMO, the trailer is ineffective at best, but more likely it is harmful. A good trailer would include scenes of good use of firearms. What, nobody can come up with Huck Finn taking a grouse for dinner, or a small woman fending off an attacker, or a soldier protecting his country against Nazis? I didn't know that OBL was taken down with a flower and a touchy speech.
A trailer is a cinematic equivalent of an elevator pitch, and it should deliver the message in under 60 seconds. This one doesn't deliver anything, unless you enjoy watching idiots who talk about things they have no clue about. Pitting gun-grabbers' arguments against instances of legitimate and socially approved - even necessary - use of guns would be a good possibility.
