An injured person is taken from the North Carolina State Fairgrounds after being wounded in a gun accident on Saturday.
The most casualties came at the Dixie Gun and Knife Show in Raleigh, where attendees bolted -- with at least one woman wiping out in the frenetic scene -- when gunfire rang out around 1 p.m., as seen on video captured by CNN affiliate WRAL.

In other news this weekend, which the MSM doesn’t see a need to print, 8 people were shot, stabbed, or beaten to death in Chicago including two children. Does this make national news? Is Obama holding a news conference to hold Rahm Emanuel responsible for the 80 murders already this year in his windy city? I THINK NOT! This is not a crisis worthy of pursuing because it will bring a bad light upon a Demoncrat!
It was at a range in Mass. I’m thinking. The boy could not control the muzzle rise and fatally shot himself in the head.
Those triggers didn't pull themselves and if you took a gun to a gun show loaded it best be holstered and ready for use if necessary.
I Know, basic stuff, but it is what it is.
The jackwagon that touched off a round did not look in the chamber AND pulled the trigger...accidentally, or knew exactly what he was doing.
What sort of "Idiot" puts live ammo in any gun at a gun show? Yeah, I know the rules, all guns are assumed to be loaded at all times. But live ammo in a "display piece is such a bad idea, it just boggles the mind. It almost sinks to the level of intentional sabotage.
Why would anyone have a "full auto" Uzi on display at a gun show and let people handle it? Technically it is an NFA item and it is illegal for anyone other than the registered owner (ATF Form 4 and all that wogga wogga) to even touch it (felony?, fines for sure, & perhaps jail time) ATF for sure does not want NFA items showing up at the range to be passed around to your buddies, they are to be kept on a short leash, and they expect you to honor that lest they yank your permit.

2 Dead, 7 Wounded In Shootings Since Friday in Chicago

It was at a range.
N.C. gun shows have the same open receiver with a zip
lock rule. According to the 11:00 PM news the gun that fired was being checked at the entrance by an LEO. It appears the
gun was being taken out of the case by the owner. Why it
fired has not been said. It was reported the LEO had not touched the gun.
Yep. 4x probably doesn't even cover it.
Americans Buy Enough Guns in Last Two Months to Outfit the Entire Chinese and Indian Armies
And who is responsible for this historic upsurge in firearms sales?
The Dem/libs have been engaging in a slow but steady push to limit our right to own guns and reduce the number of guns in private hands for decades. And this is how it has been working out for them in the last two decades...
MOLON LAVE! WE'LL BUY MORE.
Someday we might even be thanking this jug-eared dooshbag for saving the 2nd
Amendment by forcing this stupendous backlash. Well, not really thank him.
Also good points.
I’m not even sure why the trigger would be pulled at a gun show, much less with the barrel pointing in a direction that were there a round somehow in the chamber it would cause injury on discharge.
I know when I’m cleaning or inspecting a weapon, should the weapon be cocked at any point, once I am certain that there is in fact no round in it, I will then aim that weapon at a target such as the ground outside or some wall or object that I know could absord an errant shot with no injury to a human or animal, and then discharge that spring tension.
There does seem to be some suspicious gun handling going on here or in the very least some very dangerous noobery.
Most all the gun shows I go to in Texas have signs forbidding photography and video cameras. I think they are mostly concerned with "creative editing", having been burned before.
Same here. My father drilled those things into my head by the time I was 10. He was never cruel about it but he was dead serious and nearly five decades later they are things I never let slide.
Safety rule #1: It’s loaded until you personally verify that it is not loaded. Then you STILL never point it at anyone. That is, unless you are pointing it at someone who is a threat that you need to stop.
Safety rule #2: See Safety rule #1.
We apparently read or were taught the same rule book...
Just in time!
I’ve never been to a gun show that didn’t have a sign banning cameras posted.

That was a shooting event, at a range, not a gun show. The press just called it a gun show because then they could claim that a little boy had been shot at a gun show.
Appallingly bad judgement was shown by every adult involved in letting that boy shoot that gun- but he was the one who paid the price for it.
“CNN conveniently had a reporter on hand. I thought all guns are scary, why would they subject themselves to this obvious torture.”
The only reason that makes sense is that they were tipped off that there was going to be something “news-worthy” happen. Could be a setup for sure. Someone pulled a trigger with a round chambered. Question is, why?
