Obama plans to surround himself with children during gun control announcement

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney announced this afternoon that President Obama will unveil a “concrete package” of gun control proposals including assault weapons bans, high capacity ammunition magazine bans, and closing loopholes on background checks.

Carney said that the president will be joined by Vice President Joe Biden as well as children who wrote to the president after the Newtown shootings.

“They will be joined by children around the country expressing their concerns about gun violence and school safety, along with their parents,” Carney confirmed.

Wasn’t it Jimmy Carter who told the American people he’d consulted with his 10 year old daughter about what to do about nuclear weapons?? So here we go again, Obama is acknowledging 10 year olds’ opinions about how to address violence perpetrated by people with a gun?

What is public education doing to demonstrate, promote and educate on the importance of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights?

Our children and their generation are the prize for the despots.

His legislation is DOA. His executive fiats will be enjoined before sundown. This guy is outside the constitution and may soon be impeached.

Actually, many many politicians use children. How many school bond issues are passed because “It’s for the children?” The truth is the school districts can’t keep a budget so they need overrides (rather like the feds, in that respect.) Then too, there are the bazillions of pictures of pols kissing babies. Reagan did it, Bush did it, Clinton and Obama did it as did every ocal office candidate a in the world. Michelle Obama’s (she’s a politician-by-marriage) food fiats are “for the health of our children.” So grade-schoolers get green onions for snacks; that really thrilled the kids.

Digusting? Yes. But the tactic works with the masses because they don’t bother to look behind the curtain (of children) to truths beyond.
