Jennifer Rubin does a nice take-down here of the increasingly despicable Colin Powell, who smeared his former party on Meet the Press by accusing Republicans of a “dark vein of intolerance.” Thus says the first black Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff, the first black Secretary of State, the sometime mentor of the first black woman to serve as Secretary of State… all under Republican sponsorship.
Thus says the back-stabbing lout who deliberately let the innocent Scooter Libby twist in the wind, and then get convicted, when one word from Powell would have ended the investigation. Thus says the man who was afforded credit he didn’t deserve for conduct of a Gulf War (1991) he more or less opposed, the man who denounced his own testimony to the United Nations while blaming others for its substance, the man who claimed to be a Republican moderate but who endorsed the most radical leftist Democrat ever to serve in the presidency over a Republican moderate (John McCain) who had repeatedly befriended him and praised him throughout his career.

As the article says, he's become a horrid, small souled front for liberals and their ascendancy to power. The man has fallen a long way, becoming a co-conspirator in the downfall of the country (and the very people) that trusted him once upon a time in a land far away.
Colon Bowel is an A**hole of the 1st magnitude.
Powell got the credit and rewards for the First Gulf War while Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf did the heavy lifting.
He is a racist and an ingrate who was given plum assignments and promotions by every republican president beginning with Richard Nixon.
If Powell’s skin was white the world would have never heard of him.
Although I have never met him, that’s the image I had of him in my mind. What happened? Guilt for being a successful Black leader and a fine example of American exceptionalism. Has he joined the group of Black leaders who believe they are DeBois top ten percent. Wake up black America. Wake up all America. Color is irrelevant. There are a group of people of all colors and ethnic groups that buy into the DeBois theory of the Talented Tenth knowing what is for your own good. They are going to take every opportunity you may have had to protect their ranks from you unwashed and untalented.
Didn’t he have a wife that was a bit of a shrew? Seems like I recall something along those lines. Might be a bit of a clue as to “what happened”? Or not. I don’t know.
Being he is black, his level of intelligence is on the same level of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. They are Rev. hustlers and Powell is a political hustler.
And thats the book on Colin Powell.
I misread the Head line, I thought it said the increasingly excremental Colon Bowel and I agreed.
Powell was fine riding along as a Government token,and that’s all he was. Now he is showing his true colors as sooner or late most blacks do. Not all mins you, but most.
Paraphrasing one of my earlier posts, the American negro population was specifically targeted by the forces of communism throughout the 20’th century, and we are seeing the fruits of those efforts. Colin Powell is no exception. If one strips away the veneer of rabid anti-white racism from the rhetoric of rap/hiphop lyrics and the prison culture which has pervaded virtually every crevice of American cultural life from movies to product advertisements, it’s pure unadulterated commiespeak. As a demographic, the American black has been so brainwashed they can’t see straight.

Trust me, that is far from the truth. He was quick, smart, and shrewd, speaks well and was far from a hustler back then.
I don't know if he felt guilty as an affirmative action hire, or simply decided the liberal crap about him (and his race) being victims was true.
Whatever it was, it's a shame, he could have been a heavyweight instead of a whiny liberal race pimp.

I believe that has a lot to do with it. I've heard that it exists within some black communities. Maybe he got tired of being called Uncle Tom every time he disagreed with liberal blacks. The biggest racism left in this country is mostly black people. They are the majority of those bringing up color of skin.
IMHO, Even though Colon got the credit, the credit should really go to Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf and I am sure Normn probably had to cover Colon’s ass many times.

Colin Powell has a dark streak of gutlessness running down his undershorts.
Powell has stated repeatedly that he would not have advanced in the Army if not for Affirmative Action. He now proves that AA lifts the undeserving to places far, far beyond their competence.

Powell is trying to up his cred with the peeps after being associated for decades with Republicans. Seriously, Repubs promoted and helped him every step of his career, even wanting to run him for President. How is that consistant with a “dark stain of intolerance”? Powell gets an F for loyalty and and A for being a “my race-first” back-stabber.
