Two teenagers accused of killing a manafter he introduced them to a female prostitute will be charged with second-degree murder, a judge ruled Thursday morning...
Llano told police he had Hypollite in a choke hold while Xolo stabbed him with a pen and hit him with a broken glassbottle.
Xolo denied using the bottle but admitted to stabbing Hypollite with a pen.
When officers arrived, they saw two teenagers hitting a man who was on the ground, said Hallandale Police Chief Dwayne Flournoy. The teenagers then ran away. Officers soon found Hypollite's body.

The availability of pens is a real problem in America. I know they've been around since the founding of the Republic, but the men who crafted the Constitution NEVER expected pens to be used to murder.

It's the high capacity cartridges for pens that are the problem. We MUST limit pens to no more than 2!

Oh my gosh. There is a pen on the desk.. about two feet from me. Do I slowly back away? Should I run?!
To: SoFloFreeper
When pens are outlawed, only Tyrants will have pens (to rewrite history).

Well, with the rate of literacy dropping like a stone due to the public school system, we soon won't have much need for pens anyway...

Llano, Xolo, & HYPOLLITE?! Is this a cartoon or a Greek tragedy? (I’m sorry. It’s not funny...well kinda)
Pencils, & letter openers are deadly, too.

Go hunt around for “dirty fighting methods”.
You’ll be amazed.
[not that I’d know about such things, myself]

That doesn’t apply if it’s a Bic Clic.
It could go off at any moment.

The left suppresses the heretical thought that it is PEOPLE who kill, using instruments such as hands, knives, ropes, bombs or guns.
The left ALWAYS restricts objects. The real problem is people whose value system lets them kill and maim.

Another kid stabbed me in the hand with a pencil when I was in 1st grade.
I have also been the recipient of a poison pen letter from time to time.
OUTLAW all of ‘em. No instruments of writing should be legal.
The ban should be extended to forks, sporks and sporkweasels, too!!!

We can deal with this problem in a rational, moderate manner. We don't need a complete confiscation. But really: who NEEDS a Sanford .2mm ultra-fine microball, at least besides lawyers and accountants who are properly certified? Why should pens be sold in TEN packs? Who needs TEN pens at a time? Also, those cheap BIC Biros and Papermates are found all over the place, the Biros in particular have a nasty habit of leaking ink when used in a stabbing. And those high-end Cross pens with their exchangeable cartridge feature ... utterly untraceable. Those old school fountain pens with a military style bayonet sharp nib? Barbaric!
No. Those who insist on pen ownership can use a felt tip pen only (no more than one every 34 days, as computers have made pens largely superfluous for real work); offices must lock their supplies in an approved pen safe. If anyone has need for a hard tip pen (including the semi-hard Pilot chisel tip), the proper form must be submitted. The form is in triplicate on carbon paper. Any indication of using a hard tip killer pen before approval will forfeit both the application and the $300 fee. There is no need for a complete ban.
