The controlled study documented in these videos show that concealed carry permit holders are fooling themselves if they think they will be able to react effectively to armed aggressors. Most CCW holders won't even be able to un-holster their gun. They will more likely be killed themselves or kill innocent bystanders than stop the aggressor. Fact is, most criminals are cowards who only pick on victims they believe to be defenseless. As soon as criminals discover that an intended victim is not defenseless, they run like Hell.

Draw your own conclusion as to who has an agenda and who is really living in La La land. Could the CCP “actors” be members or supporters of the VPC? It might be a nice investigation for someone in DC to find out who is in the videos.
CCW came to Wisconsin just under two years ago. Those of us who have become licensed are, by a big majority, long time gun owners and shooters in hunting & recreation. We are comfortable being armed, will use the firearm responsibly and are more aware of our surroundings while armed. We are not cowboys or chumps who fumble with our holstered firearm.
This TV video is bunk and not representative of good folks armed under CCW rules.

All great points you make. Hoplophobes believe the police are there to protect them and others with guns are just plain dangerous. The police carry those guns to protect themselves. When seconds count, they are only minutes away. They will be there after the incident is over to check on the forensic evidence and do paperwork. Only you are responsible for your own protection and those under your mantle of protection. A weapon is nothing more than a useful rescue tool and may be used for other sporting purposes.

I’d say the students in the exercise had heart and did quite well considering the limiting masks and gloves. That was a beginning for them, should hardly be discouraging for anyone!

As several people have mentioned, most bad guys have NO training. They just think you get a gun, shoot a couple of trees or telephone poles (of course with 'gangsta style' since you gots to look slick), and you be ready to go.

I’ve seen similar reports that licensees are less likely that *cops* to be found guilty of crimes.
