Normally, I don’t to the vanity thing, but I think this “Glenn Beck Plan” needs to be Freeper analyzed and dissected.
First let me say, Glenn Beck has done a great service to America and I really appreciate his Tea Party, patriotic events and leadership. I thought his TV program was fantastic. I enjoy listening to his serious radio discussions, but he and the gang get a little too rambunctious and off the wall at times. That said:
Did anyone else hear Beck this morning talking options for dealing with an Obama gun control and possible gun confiscation effort? What am I missing with this plan?
Frankly, Beck makes me a little nervous sometime with some of his rants, and this was one.
I was multitasking, reading FR, checking the market and halfheartedly listening to Beck in the background. At around 11:00 AM EST, Beck and crew are talking about Obama and the gun control gang and he starts talking about what to do if they begin actively confiscating guns. His planned for resistance to tyranny is to overwhelm the legal/prison the system. ??????????
As I understood Beck: If they come for your guns we should let them arrest all of us, and overwhelm the system. I guess he thinks the legal and penal system can’t handle all of us if we do the MLK/Gandhi peaceful resistance technique. Kumbaya!!
Let me walk through what I think Beck was suggesting we do (as I understood him.)
BECK PLAN
The Feds come to the door and ask about your gun possession.
You admit you have them, but they can’t have them. You affirm your 2nd Amendment rights and tell them to arrest you.
We all do this and grind the legal system to a rapid halt. They can’t arrest everyone can they?
Beck says: To resist with force in numbers would guarantee that we lose. .
He also says: To peacefully resist in mass, we win by breaking the system. .
Will this plan somehow ensure that law and order, respect for private property and the Constitution are miraculously re-established?
Let me propose an alternative theory on how this might work out in Realville and why Beck’s scenario fails if firearms owners are foolish enough to try this.
The Feds realize quickly that they can’t fill up all the gulags with all the peaceful gun control resisters. So they change the collection technique.
Flexible Obama Confiscation Plan
Arrive at suspected noncompliant gun owner’s home.
Search warrant in hand, 3 -4 LEO’s question owner on possession.
Law respecting/abiding gun owner admits/denies he has undeclared/unregistered gun & asserts 2nd Amendment rights.
Arrest him, “search & destroy mission” in gun owner’s domicile. Terrorize family.
Collect firearms, ammo, etc. .
Gun owner goes to jail for day or 2 until substantial bail is met. .
Big legal bills for attorney and court date. .
Quick, simple trial for “open & shut” case on illegal possession. .
How about a fine of $5,000 per firearm, suspended sentence. .
Felony criminal conviction on his record. Loss of right to own/possess firearms in future. Loss of voting rights. Loss of certain employment opportunities, etc., etc. .
Finally, no guns, no freedom, no money, no job. Just Obama and his thuggorcracy making the criminals out of law abiding, patriotic American citizens..
Should I have been listening to Beck a little more closely? What am I missing? Do Obama and his thuggocracy all of a sudden begin to play by the rules and respect the rule of law?
I agree with your analysis of Beck’s idea. The gummint doesn’t have to imprison you to ruin your life, and that’s really what it’s all about: Ruining people who resist. High fines, lawyer costs, and paying through the nose for probation, in the end you are a felon so no good jobs for the rest of your life.
Beck can sometimes be a major league blowhard, and if he’s suggesting people actually do this, he’s being a dangerous-to-our-health blowhard as well. This is why I quit watching his TV show: I got tired of his constant drumbeat for a stampede of the population.
Even well known "patriot" freeper mormons have openly admitted here on FR that when Salt Lake orders them to disarm, they will do it.
The new NSA data collection center's location in Tooele Utah should be telling.
Salt Lake will play ball, mormons will disarm when their "prophet" tells them to, and then they will turn on those of us who don't.
I don’t think Obama or any of his followers would say, “oh dear! We’re ruining people’s lives and bankrupting the country on this tyrannical path. Maybe we should follow the Constitution.” My guess is that they would celebrate every ruined life, every union prison guard position created, and and every innocent patriot behind bars who got raped by Bubba.

LEOs aren’t so stupid as to be unaware of their existing rep as armed revenue collectors and their growing rep as killers of family pets & harassers of those who merely record their actions.
Are they ready to add “jackbooted door smashers” to their public image? Do they wish for the citizenry to regard all LEOs as hostile invaders, wherever they happen to appear?
i’m going to post and tell this to everyone I know or bump into.
If you are a well equipped and trained Patriot, Don’t go down with the first wave. Survive to fight another day. Hide, go underground and run.
Take your family, and run to a place that know one knows where you are. You can return to your home and property later.
Nothing is more important than keeping you alive. When they come for you, make sure they get an empty house.
The first wave of grabs will have an acceptable loss of 10 to 1 Enforcement. The plan is a large loss of life to get to you, the Patriot. The second wave has you taken from the equation, and are looking at far better results for their enforcement.
The idea is that they want the first wave of Enforcement to be killed . the vacuum created will filled by TSA and other “Civilian Army, just as powerful and equipped as the regular army”. These people will NOT be the LEO that we currently know. They will be jackbooted thugs.
It is so important for the equipped and trained Patriot to stay alive, to lead the country back to the Constitution, back to proper american government, and to a re-established currency that keeps global currency out of the American picture.
Thanks for the info. I had not picked up on the Mormon sheep being led to the slaughter theme. But I can see how that might be how that could happen.
Furthermore, Beck's plan won't even work. Why would the tyrant's minions even bother to "process" us through today's criminal system?

Just listened to the mp3 from his morning show. He was serious about his remarks, basically do what MLK did because the constitution is on your side and it would overwhelm the system.
Are you kidding? He wouldn’t even stand up to defend his wife at a movie viewing in Bryant Park when leftwingers were dumping wine on her. Sorry, but if that’s happening to me, I don’t want a man who will “peacefully resist”. I want one with the guts to stand up for me (and mine would).

Between Freerepublic and Drudge, I feel we are under seige. Obama and his minions insult and disparage hard working, law abiding citizens every day. They refuse to give on spending, but take more and more. Now all this talk on gun control, gun confiscation, etc. Almost seems that O and his minions are pushing conservative Americans, perhaps hoping to provoke a disaster so they can take the guns and declare martial law. Perhaps this is what Glenn Beck fears. I hope no one falls for this. Although such a situation can be manufactured with a willing media.

We can learn a lot from the Russian experience. There was an excellent article in Pravda the other day urging Americans not to abandon the Second Amendment. It gave as an example the experience of Moscow during the Revolution. There were a considerable number of retired and armed military in the city, and the Communists promised they would be sparred if they did not fight. They stayed on the sidelines and after the fighting was over they were systematically liquidated.
