His take on Vice President Joe Biden's comment that "executive action can be taken" to curb gun violence:
Biden's comments came during a meeting with gun safety advocacy groups and victims of gun violence earlier on Wednesday. He said the White House has determined that "executive action can be taken," but he didn't specify what those measures might be.
It was the first suggestion from the White House that it could bypass Congress in instituting measures to combat gun violence in the wake of the massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. The White House has pushed Congress to reinstate a ban on assault weapons that expired in 2004, close loopholes that allow gun buyers to bypass background checks and ban some high-capacity magazines.
Drudge's splash illustrates a common fear among conservatives that has been expressed most recently by controversial radio host Alex Jones in a fiery interview with CNN host Piers Morgan. It's a fear that the federal government will take away guns.
"The tyrants did it! Hitler took the guns! Stalin took the guns! Mao took the guns! Fidel Castro took the guns! Hugo Chavez took the guns!" Jones said on CNN Monday.
"I'm here to tell you — 1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms!"

Under Obama and his free perception of what society can do, legalized marijuana and excessive drinking has lead to at least 16,000 deaths by motor vehicles in the US...

This is why we have a wonderful constitution. He can try anything he wants and the Court will slap it down as a blatant violation of our wonderful 2nd amendment and congress aint doin nothin on our guns.We need teacher to have guns to kill kooks. That is a matter of state law.
Hitler and Stalin were neither gay nor inept, so the comparison has limited accuracy.
This is ridiculous. I admit I compared him to Hitler way back in 2008. But it was really his followers that are like the followers of Hitler.

Americans have NOTHING to worry about with Obama trying to confiscate the guns of free men. Nothing to worry about at all.

Yes, the "Romney is as bad as Obama" crowd are the folks that are perpetually going 3rd party on every "the GOP sucks" thread, yet as time passes are still telling us about how they are going 3rd party. When they are actually going to be in this magical 3rd party seems to be an open question. These were the same folks that told us that because "Romney is as bad as Obama" they and massive numbers of conservatives were going to vault Virgil Goode and the Constitution Party into contention. The reality is that Virgil Goode got a pitiful .09% of the vote and the Constitution Party actually got 75,000 votes LESS votes than they got in 2008.
Romney probably would not have been a very conservative president, but he would certainly not be leading a national effort to enact radical gun control measures.
I think Al Capone and Boss Tweed are far more accurate parallels. Hitler and Stalin actually knew what to do with their militaries. :)

Correct. Castro admires Chavez because of his use of the velvet glove over the iron fist. Soft(er) tyranny is arguably more dangerous. Both Chavez and Obama do everything in their power to pit the least productive against the producers - and essentially offer to steal from the producers in exchange for votes.
It may also be accurate to say Obama is a lot like FDR. Both are far left populists, both have the support of the majority of Americans, both have the support of the media and entertainment establishment, and both are fundamentally transforming America and pushing it places the founders never imagined.
