Remember when the left pretended they liked the Second Amendment? Thats passé. Today, Democrats around the country are preparing for a big gun grab, the likes of which the Republic has never before seen. In New York, Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who has actually publicly pitched all-out gun confiscation (or alternatively, forced gun buybacks), is now preparing grandiose new legislation designed to strip New Yorkers of assault weapons, as well as restrict the size of magazines. In the only provision actually designed to reduce crime, Cuomo will also propose harsher penalties for using a gun in the commission of a crime.
Cuomo recognizes that whats hes doing is politically divisive. But in todays America, he also recognizes that hell be rewarded by the media for cramming down political divisive gun control, even if it does nothing to stop violence. Its a very divisive topic, said Cuomo. Theres a lot of energy on both sides. Some people are vehemently against, some people think were out of our minds for not passing it Gun control is highly political, politically contentious situation. It is polarizing.
Cuomo isnt the only New York politician stumping for gun confiscation. Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who dreams of the Nanny State, has now produced and distributed a new commercial for Mayors Against Gun Violence, showing the mother of a murder victim asking, How many more children must die before Washington does something to end our gun violence problem?
But the push for gun confiscation isnt limited to New York. In Iowa, State Rep. Dan Muhlbauer told a local newspaper, We cannot have big guns out here as far as the big guns that are out here, the semi-automatics and all of them.

I agree.. I’m afraid your warning is going to fall on deaf ears.
Uh, guys, they are never EVER going to stop unless patriots stand up and yell NO!
Yell, “Fire!”
Much more effective...
Even just a fraction of 80 million gun owners would send a very decisive message, IMHO...
I completely disagree with you. The Republican Party is useless and, as we have seen twice in a row now, run useless candidates. What outcome do you expect?
If the Republican Party truly wants electoral victory, then they will run conservative candidates. As far as I’m concerned, the Republican Party should be renamed to “Democratic Party Lite.”

Ed Schultz just said on satradio that things like a gun’s stock define whether it’s an automatic, and that an “archaic piece of paper”, written when muskets were used to hunt squirrels, shouldn’t be our rule of law.

Motto: “Now with 2% less tyranny!”
It’s funny ‘cuz it’s true!
Too funny! Sadly, it’s true. :(
I am still thinking they are pushing and pushing and hoping for us on the right to react. They want someone on our side to fire the next shot. Then they can say “See the right wing gun owners are the violent ones”. Then they can have their Krystalnacht. The purges would follow. How many gun owners would be picked up on the street, road driving home? Or would they just come to your home and make an example of us? Who knows. But they are poking a sleeping eagle. Molan Labe!
EXACTLY, The most true words spoken on this issue I have ever read.
Homo laws, marriage laws, abortion laws are not rights like the 2nd amendment which is, through the ocnstituion.
Most at schools today have no clue where we get our rights, they think all this mushy pansy land crap.
It is not going to matter what "right wing gun owners" do or refrain from doing.
The Leftists are going to push gun confiscation regardless of any possible consequences. The socialist elites must have a disarmed and submissive population to continue in power.
As the economy deteriorates under socialist rule, the general population will grow increasingly unhappy with the rulers. Those same rulers will use any means neccessary to maintain their positions and protect themselves from a hostile population. Scapegoats will be regularly punished to appease the masses and deflect opposition.
Plan accordingly.
The progressives appear to have a major miss understanding about the issue. When a gun lover says you will have to pry his gun out of his cold dead hands, the progressives think they understand that statement and reply, no problem. What they fail to realize is that the gun owner is actually saying he will die fighting for his right to have a gun. IE - He is not the only one who will have cold dead hands.
“The veto-proof majority in the House and Senate that will result from all this is going to come in handy unwinding Obamacare.”
Heh.
You’re dreamin’, my FRiend.
Wait until the anti-gun bills hit the Senate. They’ll sail right through.
I’ll reckon that no less than 90-95% of the ‘rats in the House jump right on board. If Obama gives his orders, it will be 100%. After that, all he has to do is pick off a small number of weak-minded Pubbies, and it’s a done deal.
I hope I’m wrong. But the congresscritters are runnin’ scared right now. Watch ‘em topple over like dominoes!
The reason Obama won was because the GOP offered "more of the same" with Romney.
They showed their hearts with the voice-vote/teleprompter incident and the state primary where they retroactively changed rules to allow a Romney win (instead of having delegates go to Ron Paul).
The GOP is not good, and to allow "the other guy's worse" argument is to approve of their actions (Bohner's constant caving should put a lie to even that).
Far, far too limited: we need to be against statists, no matter what letter they put next to their name.
