Retired Gen. Stanley McChrystal called for “serious” gun control measures on Tuesday, saying the weapons used by his troops in Afghanistan don’t belong on the streets of America. McChrystal said the M4 Carbine he often carried in the military held a .223 caliber round capable of doing “devastating” damage to a human body.
“It’s designed to do that, and that’s what our soldiers ought to carry,” McChrystal said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Tuesday morning. “I personally don’t think there’s any need for that kind of weaponry on the streets and particularly around the schools in America."

I guess this means he is formally renouncinag his previous oath to support and defend the Constitutuion. If he were honorable he would resign instead of retire.

Not only is the good General not aware of the reason for the second amendment,to protect the citizenry from the tyranny of Government, he has not read about Obama purchasing billions of rounds of hollow point ammo for Government agencies. I think the General knows our military can not use hollow point ammo.
Trying to suck his way back into the graces of the Food Stamp President? Another one of those failed political generals trying for a government position or spot on CNN as a (failed but reliable) military contributor?
Sigh. Either he doesn’t know, or he’s playing PC dumb. I’m sick to death of hearing about hunting, with self protection thrown in as an after thought and never a mention of a tyrannical government.

McChrystal was a lousy general, one of those perfumed princes who didn’t mind betraying his troops with idiot rules of engagement if that would get him further up the career ladder.
Well, I suggest McChrystal get elected dictator and try to shove it down our throats. We’ll see how that works out.

Why is anyone surprised at McC or Petraeus saying we should not own guns when he wouldn’t let his own army fire their weapons?

Using the General’s “logic”, if civilians cant have guns because of Sandy Hill, then soldiers cant have guns because of the Ft Hood Shooting.
On the streets? Oh, we can’t have any of that. Point the way and I’ll see to it they are relocated to my safe ASAP.
I was at Kandahar Airfield during McChrystal’s reign of idiocy. I lit up a cigar in celebration of his humiliation.
