Many Americans were shocked to learn about Georgetown University Professor Louis Michael Seidmans advocation for the U.S. to abandon the Constitution the central document that has helped spawn Americas growth and progression for hundreds of years. As previously reported, the constitutional expert recently noted his belief (via an op-ed) that a blind allegiance to the outdated document is perilous. On Friday, he defended his controversial views about some purportedly evil provisions in the Constitution in an interview with Fox News Megyn Kelly.

I promise most of those on the left think like this and don't have any use for our constitution, except when it's convenient for them to do so.
You give up the Communist Manifesto instead, perfesser.
Probably would’ve been better off not giving him airtime than challenging him.

If we abandon the Constitution, professor, what will authorize our government and our laws? Some law professor. He’s just looking for attention.
See? You were spot on!
:)
Here’s a thought. Let the left-leaning States abandon the Constitution, while the rest of the States keep it. Then we can divide into two countries. Everybody would be happy.
We need to stop complaining and start fighting back against these people. Conservatives who didn’t have time to be activists like leftists, are losing everything.
Regarding the idea of abandoning the Constitution, the horse escaped from the barn quite awhile ago. But voters don’t understand this because they don’t know the Constitution anyway, particularly the Founding State’s division of federal and state government powers.
Conservatives who didnt have time to be activists like leftists, are losing everything.
That’s the trouble. conservatives have real jobs and are accountable for their time. Leftist communists are professors who have one class a day or no job so they have plenty of time to protest and rally all supported by the communist mainstream media and hollywood. We have no one except ourselves to put up the fight.

“Many Committees of Safety were established throughout Colonial America at the start of the American Revolution. These committees in part grew out of the less formal Sons of Liberty groups, which started to appear in the 1760s as means to discuss and spread awareness of the concerns of the time, and often consisted of every male adult in the community. The local militias were usually under the control of the committees, which in turn sent representatives to county- and colony-level assemblies to represent their local interests.
Committees of Safety formed in 1774 to keep watch on the DISTRUSTED royal government. By 1775 they had become the operating government of all the colonies, as the royal officials were expelled. Massachusetts took the lead in the appointment of a committee of safety so early as the autumn of 1774, of which John Hancock was chairman. It was given power to call out mandatory militia, with penalties for failing to respond to a call-up, and provide means of defense. It provided many of the duties of a provisional government. Other colonies appointed committees of safety. One was appointed in the city of New York, composed of the leading citizens. In the spring of 1778, the New York state legislature abolished all committees in New York in favor of “COMMISSIONERS OF CONSPIRACY”.
In North Carolina, the demand for independence came from local grassroots Committees of Safety. The First Continental Congress had urged their creation in 1774. By 1775 they had become counter-governments that gradually replaced royal authority and took control of local governments. They regulated the economy, politics, morality, and militia of their individual communities. After December 1776 they came under the control of a more powerful central authority, the Council of Safety.[1]
These Committees of Safety were in constant communication with committees of correspondence, which disseminated information among the militia units and provided a clearinghouse of information and intelligence on enemy activities.”

So, pray tell me, how would things be any different today if we had abandoned the Constitution 80 years ago?
Would we no longer have a limited federal government, for example?
No such luck ... within 10 years, the Union of American Socialist Peoples' Republics would be fomenting guerrilla insurrection in, and trying to invade, the (truncated) United States of America.
You cannot make peace with tyrants.

We will have the kind benevolence of our Lord and Savior, King Barry the First. Barry will go down in history as the law-giver and all deference will be made to his image. Praise be to Allah and to Mohamed, His prophet, and to his almighty son Barry I.
In case it's not obvious - </sarc>
I can certainly tell you that things would be very different if we had not abandoned the constitution in 1861.
This is how they made homosexuality acceptable.
First, you talk about how shocked you are . . .
