In an interview with Stephen Moore of the Wall Street Journal, newly re-elected House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) opened up about President Obamas utter unwillingness to cut a single dollar from federal spending. In a stunning admission, Obama reportedly told Boehner, We dont have a spending problem.
Boehner added that President Obama continues to maintain that Americas federal deficit is caused not by governmental overspending but by a health-care problem. Said Boehner, They blame all of the fiscal woes on our health-care system. Boehner told Obama, Clearly we have a health-care problem, which is about to get worse with Obamacare. But, Mr. President, we have a very serious spending problem. Obama eventually replied, Im getting tired of hearing you say that.
Obama may be tired of hearing Boehner talk about a spending problem, particularly when Obama has been re-elected on the basis of ignoring government spending. Nonetheless, America does have a spending problem, which Obama is steadfastly ignoring. Hes so ideological himself, Boehner explained, and hes unwilling to take on the left of his own party. Thats why Obama refused to raise the retirement age for Medicare after agreeing to it. He admitted in meetings that he couldnt sell things to his own members, said Boehner. But he didnt even want to try We could never get him to step up.
Boehner says that there will be no new tax increases over the debt ceiling. The tax issue is resolved, he said. And he said that more closed-door negotiations with Obama would be futile. Its a bit too late to recognize that, but better late than never.

The term we are looking for may well be “MOLLYCODDLED”. From the day of his birth this guy was treated as someone special by his family, and associates.
He hasn’t a clue because of it.
If Zero would go away we wouldn’t have a spending problem!!!
We need to stop thinking they are acting on the same paradigm we are.
Keynesian economics is upside down economics.
Really DUMB RINO File.
Should be another fun roller coaster.
Thanks Nachum.
I think I see the problem here. Boehner evidently STILL fails to understand that Ubama, the African Communist, IS the "left of his own party". Ubama was ranked the most communist senator when he was in that body, and he has not changed at all. Ubama is the President of the Democrats of the United States and that is all he will ever be. He certainly is not MY president.
Good grief, John.... Wake up, please.
Did you see this? I found it interesting.

Look, I detest Obama and big government, but he's not crazy or evil. All this controversy about how to run the economy is nothing new. It's the same old split between Milton Friedman and John Maynard Keynes economic theories.
Yes what Obama is doing is extremely alarming and if His Keynesian model turns out to be wrong we are screwed. But for the sake of America I hope Keynes was right. Because Obama is going does that road come he'll or high water.
And yet, Boo-hoo Boehner still gave him another $800B+, of taxpayer money, to ‘play with’.
Some leadership, deserves another go in the seat, THIS time will be different! /s
Affirmative Action personified.
There is no dialogue possible if your opponent refuses to acknowledge basic facts and terminology. In addition Obama’s idealogy is even more extreme than hard left democrats in his party. Obama believes we don’t spend ENOUGH. Since he believes we should be spending more than any deficit we have now is simply because we have not taxed enough. You can not reason with someone like that.
This is scary. Well, my silver is safe for now.

Check out the above link to a column by Krugman. The title is Keynes Was Right.
Ugh!
I’ve read in the past that MOST insane people are actually harmless, but then there’s a certain amount of them that are NOT.
The WH seems to have become a sanitarium for the latter.
See, the GOP keeps thinking that they will change the thinking of the Democrats. Not going to happen. So the work that has to be done must keep this in mind. They are so intrenched in their ways (as are the GOP) that a) they will lie because it will further their cause, b) see a.
Obama truly believes that there is no spending problem (the GOP says it but doesn’t mean it). Therefore, no one has a conviction for any meaningful budget cuts.
Reality Sucks.

This article above explains what Obama is doing with the Keynesian model. Everyone should read it. Obama is not crazy or ignorant or trying to destroy America. He is committed ideologically to a course that could be disastrous or could work. It’s very alarming because if it fails we are so screwed!
I have this personal philosophy. There is no reason to feel worse then you really need to. It is unwise to believe the very worst, if the worst is not true. What we have with Obama is a very popular, uncompromising, wealth redistributing, big government, underhanded, crafty politician. Thats bad enough. But he is not trying to bring us to rack and ruin on purpose. I am leaving that bit of paranoia behind. And his methods are not madness, they are methods I don’t think will work and God help us if they don’t.
TBP: “Obama knows better.”
No. I don’t think he does. I’m starting to believe the Democrats truly, seriously believe their own propaganda.
To him, we don’t have a spending problem...it’s all part of the far left’s agenda to overwhelm the system - by expanding welfare. They don’t want spending cuts, or their plan won’t work.
The big problem is the GOP is absolutely in zero position to speak up, because they are NOT for US production.
The GOP needs to get with American jobs.
Now.
