Its a do not rob list.
Well, the media are controlled by liberals and that is not the message they want people to get. They want everyone afraid of guns. Maybe people will now start to realize that criminals rarely, if ever, target those they know have guns (or believe that they do).
It could also be a good place for gun thieves to look after they watch a house to make sure no one is home.
“Its a do not rob list.”
And,
It’s a “wait until no one’s home, and ransack the house looking for firearms” list
Oh everybody goes on the “rob list” — later in the article somebody says they would stake out the gun owners first, burglarize them when they go to work. Bootstrap your way up to a free gun, then look at the map again to see where you can put it to use with no resistance. Kinda like burglarizing Home Depot on the way to a construction job.

It’s just plain nuts to make this information public.
Even here in Canada, when the Liberals foisted the long-gun registry on us, they had sense enough to make access to the database restricted (law enforcement only). Of course, that didn’t stop information leaking out, or hacks — but, the principle was sound. This sort of information is dangerous in the wrong hands. (Government agencies would also be “wrong hands” — but, that’s another topic.)
Of course, the Liberals weren’t worried about the safety of the firearms owners — they just didn’t want to make it easy for anyone interested in stealing firearms.
That only works in some circumstances... I keep this place looking empty from the front. No vehicle in the driveway, yard a little overgrown. I've surprised 3 that thought it would be an easy place to rip the copper out of. ;)

The NRA and Tea Party should post the addresses of everyone in the Mainstream media.
This list is only for handgun registration.
Some people Only have shotguns for home defense.
There are pros and cons for both which is better fro home defense.
Every victim of a burglary in those counties for the next 15 years should sue Gannett.
Well, if we were living in an alternate universe, we could have the US House do some good by writing legislation making it illegal to release public lists of registered gun owners. Of course we would have to find some US House members that still know how to write bills. Seems like the President and the Senate writes all the bills now.
I keep Casa Pachysandra looking occupied all the time. I even got my neighbors, who have 5 vehicles, to always park one in my driveway. Computer room lit dimly, with the monitors tuned to Steel Guitar Radio.

Put a sign in your yard with a picture of a pistol and the words “We don’t call 911” and watch the liberals scream. But it’s okay if the newspaper does it.
We are indeed living in an alternate universe. Connecticut has just such a law prohibiting public release of gun ownership — and now they want to repeal that law.

The cops around her say “Keep your blinds closed when not at home, and open when you are”. So a burglar will aways hit the homes with closed blinds.

So, I guess if you leave your blind closed and you are at home the ‘bad guyz’ can sue if they get ‘hurt’ or inconvenienced.
We have at least 1 ‘extra car’ around, plus I always leave a radio on (for the cats) and with the motion sensor lights all I can say “You takes your chances, you may have to pay for your stupidity”.
The fundamental question is does the First Amendment protect the media from torts it inflicts on others?
They need a class action lawsuit against the paper and its officers, editors and the author. They need to lose. I susptect there’s a sharpie just waiting for a victim to step forward.
