On New Years Day, several on-duty plain clothes officers were dining at a Belleville, Ill. Dennys, when a customer complained to the manager that one of the officers was carrying a gun. The Dennys manager told the officer she would have to leave or put the gun in her car, as guns are not allowed on their premises.
Its absolutely a slap in the face I totally agree its completely disrespectful, Belleville Police Captain Don sax said in a KTVI Fox2 report. Ive never known anybody that didnt want a police officer present in an establishment in a business...

This anti-gun crowd is getting out of hand. I'm glad Denny's had the sense to come around. I have no problem sitting in a restaurant next to a cop with a gun. Probably the safest place you could be!

“the safest place you could be.”... Unless you have a dog that he can shoot.
Not sure how I feel about this. It’s good Denny’s came around, but why should cops be treated better than I. Denny’s wouldn’t be apologizing to me if they booted me, and I ain’t never shot a dog in my life, or an unarmed citizen because “he made a threatening move toward his waistband.”

I hope the employee was put on the “Pull him over if he farts” list by the PD.
To: SmileRight
That was quick, Only took two posts to mention dog-shooting.

Strange reaction coming from the police in Illinois. They feel it’s a slap in their face even though they weren’t in uniform. However, I suspect they don’t support conceal weapon permits.

Gangster-speak is becoming the primary mode of communication in American today. Go to the Facebook page of almost anyone under 30. Odds are good that you’ll see a lot of it.

Think of how stupid it is to complain about an armed policeman having lunch in an eatery.
What would those same whiners say about an armed robber?;
Would they complain to the manager? To the robbers’ union? To the robber’s mommy?
How utterly stupid, puerile, idiotic and childish.
IMHO

My bud is a police officer, and due to his work, he simply can’t speak what’s on his mind. The worst people hands down he’s come across, are these limp-wristed liberals.

Well, let's see - maybe it's because they put their lives on the line every day like soldiers do, and EMTs and firemen, etc.
So we treat them a little different, a little better, if for no other reason than respect.
And that's something that is woefully missing from way to may posts here on FR.

Would’ve been quicker, but he was detained by the thread cops on reasonable suspicion grounds for, and I quote, “lookin kinda funny.”

For once the word "Disrespectful" is being used (and properly!) rather then, "They be dissing us y'all"
Now THAT was gangster speak.
