STOCKTON (CBS13) A Stockton man who lived with his girlfriends badly decomposed body in a bathtub for several months was convicted of her murder on Wednesday.
Devon Omar Epps, 37, was arrested in December 2011 after the apartment manager went to evict him and discovered the body of Veronica Jones in the bathtub of the unit on E. Channel Street.
The jury found Epps guilty of all charges: premeditated murder, use of weapon other than a firearm, rape, murder by torture and corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant.
Epps will be back in the San Joaquin County courtroom Thursday for the sanity phase of his trial. A judge ordered a mental evaluation for Epps after he acted strangely in court during his arraignment.

Man, I’ve lived in a lot of accommodations, but never in a bathtub.

What “other” weapons are we talking about here? This sounds like a Stephen King story.

Uh....she didn’t exactly “live” there.....

Stockton ain’t exactly the garden spot of California, it’s now got a huge population of chronically unemployed, substance addicted, and dependent. The city itself is bankrupt, and the unemployment rate is over 30% in some areas. I’m not surprised that it’s also over represented with mental cases.
Great place to find a very cheap house, though...

Think of all the sad-sacks in the world who can never seem to find anyone and here this charmer ( and every other wicked man like him) never lacks for a “girlfriend” to mistreat (or murder).

his girlfriends badly decomposed body Just curious - what's the difference between a "badly decomposed" body, and a "well decomposed" body?

The Amish obviously do not have need for the bathtub too often for bathing.

It read like a man and his dead girlfriend lived a bathtub to me. Oh, well. Different stokes... I’ll bet she voted.

A question popped into my head recently:
What is left that is still universally considered taboo in our society?
So much immoral and deviant behavior. Prayers up.

From what I have seen, only things that are good and decent.
