I have confirmed with a group of Congressmen that House Speaker John Boehner will not be reelected Speaker tomorrow.
He will either resign or be forced out tomorrow.
Only 17 members are needed to block Speaker Boehner's election tomorrow. A Speaker needs an absolute majority of all votes cast for a specific person.
If no one has a majority, the House is speakerless. I've confirmed these rules with the House Parliamentarian.
I totally agree- He would probably be the best choice. While I sort of prefer Newt, he does have a great many detractors.

It’s the RINO way, don’tcha know, and all RINOS and socialists despise Newt. I'm giving this some thought, we have the same system here, yet I am thinking of going Ind., just for the scare factor, then change back just in time for the elections.

It may only take 17 right wing repubs to block Boehner, but It only takes 17 left wing repubs to install Bill Clinton as Speaker, or Michelle Obama, or Hillary Clinton, or god knows who else.
The “blockcade” republicans need to be very careful how they play their hand.
