At least 20 House Republican members have gotten together, discussed this and want to unseat Speaker Boehner--and are willing to do what it takes to do it, Meyer said. Thats more than enough to get the job done, but the one problem these guys face is they need a leader to coalesce behind.
Meyer said the conservatives have considered House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) to take the helm after Boehner is knocked out. His opposition from the right to the Senate fiscal cliff deal that Vice President Joe Biden cut with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is a sign Cantor may try for the job.
AMA is hardly the only conservative entity aware of the rekindled effort afoot to unseat Boehner. Another conservative with inside knowledge of the effort told Breitbart News that the movement has "new focus and juice," and if enough members go to Boehner telling him they wont support his re-election, that Americans should watch for him to resign gracefully.
The vote for Boehners re-election as Speaker happens on Thursday, two days after Boehners decision to support the Senate "fiscal cliff" deal Vice President Joe Biden cut with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on New Years Eve.

After seeing Paul Ryan votes yes for the passing of the bill, we have to realize there aren’t any representatives in the Republican party willing to promote conservative principles. They all need to go and 3rd party is looking more and more likely with the crap going on in DC, with us getting sold down the river.
“We need someone like Tom Price or Louie Gohmert.”
Or maybe Trey Goudy? Cantor and McCarthy should not be considered. They’ve been the princelings to Boner!
and therein lies the problem. The speaker of the house needs to be a seasoned politician, yet as a conservative leader, we would prefer the speaker not be an establishment career politician. We would have to cave and get another RINO in place of Bonehead I’m afraid.
I'm having a harder and harder time seeing the downside to voting 3rd party. The old argument "it only helps Democrats" falls flat when Republicans insist upon acting like Democrats.
Um it will take 117 (half the conference) to “get the job done”.
No, he didn't. Repeat: Boehner DID NOT unseat Nancy Pelosi. The Tea Party did.
Then, when Michele Bachmann, the titular leader of the House Tea Party Caucus, came to Boehner and asked for a leadership position, he looked her in the eye -- holding the gavel she and the Tea Party gave him -- and said,
"It's Not Your Turn."
Thanks for the gavel, lady -- go screw yourself.
This after Bachmann had had to fight for her political life, twice in a row, against maximal efforts by Pelosi and the Democratic Campaign Committee to defeat her for reelection.
That's a lie! A canard, a roorback people have been telling around!
Barry is no top -- Barry's a bottom only, which you can tell from his sweet and beguiling demeanor.
<vomiting>
Don’t count him out. The Dems will vote for him. He’s the best friend they ever had in the Republican Camp. The Northeast lib RINOs like that brain-dead old fool Peter King, will support him.
My guess is the damn basrtard survives to screw us - again and again and again.
The Chief Justice Roberts of the House - even looks like him. Maybe they were separated at birth!!!!!!!!!!
Only one third of the GOP House members voted for the “cliff deal”.
Over 90% of the Dems voted for it.
