It amazes me that McConnell was able to make middle class tax rates PERMANENT when the republicans could not do it when they held all 3 branches during Bush-43.
he didn’t make anything permanent. taxes can be changed at any time. he did remove those expiration dates, but that doesn’t mean they’re permanent. you’re implying it’s now illegal to change tax rates or something.
besides, the middle class rates were never really going to go back up. Obama and the dems never would havelet it stand, but the GOP was too afraid to take them on over it and find it out.
Are you sure the Bush middle class tax rates were made permanent ? I read earlier that only the new higher top tax rates were being made permanent.

Excellent point, while we (rightly) decry this whole mess, I ultimately blame the American voter. They voted for socialism, not one but twice.
We should have Romney preparing for inauguration and a lame duck, soon to be R Senate right now. But no, the majority voter wanted more of this garbage.
