Well, neither will the Senate...

Why all the fuss about midnight if it didn’t even matter and the Senate could vote on January first?

GOP leaders prefer to vote in broad daylight, sources said, instead of in the middle of the night.

“There is no difference in voting at 2 a.m. than tomorrow at 4 p.m.,” one of the GOP sources said.

GOP sources admitted there is an added benefit to the Senate’s delay: taxes would already be up, so lawmakers could argue that they are voting for tax cuts, as opposed to tax increases.

Puh-leeze. Enough of the ‘optics’, we’ve seen enough already. I can’t believe someone would say that...must be RINO advisors...and we saw how well that turned out last election.

If you are taking your time to actualy read every word and CONSIDER the bill, that’s the message the people should be hearing, not some wordsmithing about we’re now voting for tax cuts. And while you’re at it, throw some spending cuts in there, vote on them and send it back.

Because 0bama knows how much of a stickler the GOP is about deadlines and attempted to force them into giving the Socialists everything they wanted without anything in return which is exactly what will happen AFTER they all turn into pumpkins anyway. It’s a foregone conclusion the GOP will cave. Caving is their business, and business is good!

I’m praying that the House rejects the entire deal! They need to get more vocal and let the American public know that this entire mess was caused by the turkey in the White House! Spend, spend, spend!!! We’re out of money!!! The job market is shot!!! Those who are hiring are only offering 30 hour work weeks due to Obamacare! The whole world is upside down!!! ENOUGH!!!!!

I’m sensing a party in the wilderness moment starting (and I don’t mean the Democrats).

It’s more exciting theater if there’s a ticking time bomb than if the hero can take his time showing up to the scene.

>> Democrats would likely oppose any effort to amend the measure to make it more to GOP liking.

Democrats on a scorched Earth mission to serve their sick, puerile fantasies.

Not that laws matter anymore, but these criminals are no longer holding elected office. Game over end of 2012. Newly elected Congress takes it from here.

GOP sources admitted there is an added benefit to the Senate's delay: taxes would already be up, so lawmakers could argue that they are voting for tax cuts, as opposed to tax increases. One GOP source also said that may help get more House Republicans to vote for the deal.

Always looking for new ways to lie and talk out both sides of their mouths.

This is as bad as the "close loopholes and cap deductions" for $800B in "revenue" crap Boehner was offering Ubama, as if that's not a tax hike. If you take $800B from the private sector and dump it down the big government toilet, it's a freaking tax hike. (And by the way, Grover Norquist can drop dead, too.)

I am up to here with all the lies.

This is what I said in a previous post. This is all theater. They can pass a bill on January 15th if it took that long...or Feb 15th...and all they would have to do is make it retroactive.

It's all been show. They know they can make it retro...they've done it several times before and this is no different. The American public is once again being manipulated.
