The MiQ’Mac are a Tribe of Indians from Northern Maine, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia Area. They are related to the Inuit, and are known for their exceptional quill work and basketry. A very peaceful (Mostly French-Speaking)tribe, they were among those expelled from the Maritime provinces during the “Great Expulsion” immortalized in Longfellow’s poem “Evangeline”. My Great grandfather was the Chief of a Local Clan and his wife Salome was Inuit.

My Mom’s 100% Irish.

You learn something new every day around here. I did a project based on "Evangeline" when I was in the eighth grade, complete with maps.

I'm Sicilian on my father's side and Neapolitan on my mother's. The Sicilian side originally came from Greece, and the Neapolitan side was expelled from Spain during the Inquisition, which means they were either Jews or Moslems.

A genetic study of my father's side showed Italian, Balkan and North African DNA. Maybe some Carthaginians back there.

Lots of Neanderthal genes in my background. Also, my brain was cobbled together from two right halves:

Keep Faith with the Fallen of Benghazi! Let the Obama Regime, for once, tell the Truth!

Fiat Justitia, Ruat Coelum!

Genuflectimus non ad principem sed ad Principem Pacis!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

“This is the forest primeval, the murmuring pines and the hemlocks
Bearded with moss and in garments green
Indistinct in the twilight.”

I still remember it! LOL!

Hey, Luv.

((HUGS))

Do you have a theme tonight, or are you just working randomly this evening?

Hey, there! It’s pretty random. Alternating jazz and non-jazz till I get so tired I have to quit! LOL!

One of my favorite hypnotic numbers. From 1975.

John Klemmer: "Touch"
