Some political and media types weren't impressed by headlines this week reporting that D.C. police are investigating the alleged display of a gun magazine on NBC's Meet the Press. They took to the Internet with their disdain for the story.
"Excellent use of DC police resources, investigating 'Meet the Press' for committing an act of journalism," snarked the Atlantic's Jeffrey Goldberg.
"When guns are outlawed, only David Gregory will have guns," Slate's Matt Yglesias offered.

You would have thought that someone could have made a cardboard model of that magazine.
Circling the propaganda ministry wagons.
Come on guys. It’s really nothing. He’s not going to jail. If they aren’t covering Bengasi then y bother?
Too funny. How come they assume David Gregory is harmless? They all sound like “crazy NRA types” to me...
This may be the worst thing that has happened to these gun control emos.
It doesn’t matter how or where David Gregory got the forbidden 30-round AR/M16 magazine. He brandished it on TV to millions of viewers. He knew what he was doing and that in Washington, DC, it was illegal. He convicted himself and now all that needs to be determined is his punishment. Ten years in the DC jail and a $10,000 fine should do it.
The Carl Rowan Principle lives on.
How about simply showing a picture of it? It only came to viewers as a flat image on their screens anyway.
