Bankrupt America, that’s what it’s all about. Setting up a dictator and making people pay.

With an attitude like that, Obie must have gotten his butt whupped a lot when he was a kid. A chickensh!t big mouth like that wouldn't last ten minutes in the real world.

"...nevermind swallowing his pride..."

"Nevermind" isn't a word, Kate. It's the name of a grunge album. Sheesh...

I would love it, if during the State of the Union, the entire Republican delegation stands as one, turns their back to Emperor Bath-house, and on a count of three, drops trou and moons him. . .

You can’t compromise with a corrupt, evil bastard. To even try is pure folly.

[Art.] Obama claims to have modeled himself after Lincoln, but it certainly doesn't sound like he's minding his favored predecessor's example of how to compose a second inaugural address in times of turmoil ....

But his "negotiating" technique is very familiar to historians, who remember that Hitler's behavior at Munich was a series of towering tantrums until he got his way.

In fact, he did that a lot. Later on, he just killed people.

I think a more successful action would be for the house to call to order, and as Obama approaches the Mike, every conservative house member rise, walk out the door and head for a news conference, taking the media attention away from him.

It says the pres lost patience with the speaker. Did the speaker lose patience with the pres?

What I’m wondering is who is going to give the Republican response?

This is a sterling opportunity here if the right person does it. The person needs to be a solid, rock-ribbed conservative.

Maybe it should be Jim DeMint as he is on his way out the door anyway.

The person should be able to list all the proposals, studies, analyses that have been done (e.g. Simpson/Bowles) that Ears has rejected.

It’s time to call out Ears on what he has been doing, as Reagan said, in bold colors. There should be no mystery, no wiggle room, for Ears and his cohorts, Stretch and the Undertaker.

If Ears truly does this during the State of the Union speech, the entire Republican caucus should walk out.

I’m not kidding.

"With an attitude like that"

Lot's of funny stuff in response to this article, BUT, consider what would happen if

(a) We had a wimp as Speaker - Bozo would get what he wants and while ignoring the constitution he would destroy America financially

(b) We had a Democrat controlled House as well as a Senate - we would descend into a Dictatorship in 2 years flat. He would ask for powers to be granted and would seize other powers that he wanted without regard. The Left is 'Deceitful' and Authoritarian to the bone.

Poor old confused Mr. Boehner forgot one little thing. The King doesn't negotiate. He tells his subjects what to do or they suffer the consequences...

"Negotiations? We don't need no steenking negotiations!!"

The GOP house members should just yell, “ You lie “, after every sentence of his speech.

The answer to the demagogue must be based on careful analysis of our own opportunities to use coming events to hit back in the arena of public thinking. The time between now & Obama's major opportunities, should be employed in evaluating opportunities & constructing strategy. Conservatives must not assume that the public is too stupid to understand economic reality. There are plenty of "folksy," common sense, points that can be made, which will trigger levers of credibility in people's minds.

Traditional social values, including market economics, and the need to have local decisions on every local & immediate subject, not distant centralized bureaucratic decisions, govern. (It is also a lot cheaper to have welfare, education & medical care for those in genuine need, financed locally, rather than through incredibly wasteful bureaucracies. And most people can easily grasp that, if it is properly explained.)

We need to stop fearing a debate that we can win.

Boehner allowed himself to be played. He stayed true to the high earners, and screwed everyone in the process.

Just wait till he gets to 2nd amendment stuff.

At one point, according to notes taken by a participant, Mr. Boehner told the president, "I put $800 billion [in tax revenue] on the table. What do I get for that?"

"You get nothing," the president said. "I get that for free."

This same POS was just as bis of an a$$hole when Bush was still President and the resident of the "newly created Office of the President Elect" demanded bailout money that he then blamed Bush for "spending".
