Amid talk of reinstating the assault weapons ban that expired eight years ago, police departments nationwide are thinking of ways to confiscate such weapons.
As WCBS 880s Marla Diamond reported, among the departments considering taking action is the NYPD. Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said if Congress were to reinstate the ban, police are wondering whether it will be their responsibility to confiscate them.

Temerity is asking for examples after examples have been given. #45 #161
Temerity is bristling with animosity when someone tries to point out your illogical position and your misdirected assumptions.
Temerity is blaming others for your lack of reason.
Temerity is ridiculing the very thing you have been demanding when you get it.
A sheet of plywood full of nails sticking straight up and some thin steel cable takes care of that entry team pretty well.
***Hey Joe you picked a bad day to forget your vest****
Will a vest stop a 7.62 -150 Gr fmj at 2800 fps?
Ya don't say!?! ROTFLOL
***** “I’m wonderin how they’ll deal with all the anonymous tips of assault weapons and gunfire in liberal’s and minorities homes?” ******
How do you make an anonymous tip... phone call, email?
You are identified within seconds... I haven’t seen a pay phone in years.

Mother was so kind that at times it was difficult to believe.
She also had a soft spot for children. Her own of course but I have several times seen Mother drop a dime or nickel into the hand of a child who looked like they didn’t get many treats. She did it so no one would see but I did catch her a few times. Back then a dime was a lot of money.
Mother had an extraordinary love for her Parents, her Brothers and Sisters, and of course for her own children and husband. I was only 5 years old when Mother’s Daddy, Grandpa Mac. died. Mother went into a closet and began to ball. I was so upset that I ran into the closet beside her and began to cry too. One of my Sisters came and got me telling me it would just make her feel worse.
Mother was kind to people who were rude to her. The only time I saw her flash anger was when my Brother’s wife said something really mean and untrue about one of her children.
I hate the term “Steel Magnolia” but that does describe her.
She was the best person I ever knew.
Maybe
But that isn’t gonna happen.
Don’t they know that? Or is that the “plan.”
If it is it’s a VERY dangerous game they play
***** “For all the high tech, impenetrable stuff our military is so proud of, and despite the fact that almost all our adversaries have been little third world hell holes that equip their troops with the most unsophisticated arms, we havent really fought to a clear, unconditional surrender victory in any conflict since WWII, except, perhaps, Grenada.” ******
It is called ROE (Rules of Engagement)

“This would be a grand way to start a realignment of the country.”
The “realignment” of the country is already underway.
An attempt at “confiscation”, however, might finish the job. It would most certainly accelerate the process.
***** “They all are of the same opinion, not a single one of them would support what is tantamount to suicide.” *****
Seems like they have a choice, we don’t.

Guys, c’mon. Please don’t.
We’re all more than ‘perturbed’ about this idea. Even the talk of it. Overhead drones, the NSA facility in the SW, the GPS boxes.
Let’s not get at each others’ throats here.
Armed citizens outnumber the military 100 to 1 and that assuminng army would follow orders to turn on their fellow citizens.
Funny how that doesn't stop a retroactive tax, eh?
Good lord....I don’t recall when I’ve ever seen so much drama emanate from one person. Methinks thou doth protest too much.
Good night.
What everyone must understand is once this starts, any sort of "rules of engagement" will go right out the window. The confiscators will discover this to their great anguish and dismay. A butcher's bill, payable in blood.
I'm cool. I don't know why our friend got so wound up. Would have been a whole lot easier to simply look at what he originally said from a slightly different viewpoint, but no, he had to be right.
I've already said good night to him. I've wearied of the argument anyway.
Dunno how good the vests they wear are, but some of my shooting buddies call some of of us headhunters for a reason.
It is “the plan.”
There is no other reason why they demand law-abiding people be disarmed because a thief steals someone else’s legal guns and shoots a bunch of people.
THey try to project the actions of a murdering criminal onto all legal law-abiding gun owners. There’s no other reason to do that.
Law abiding gun owners are the new Goldsteins for the libtard’s ongoing Two Minutes Hate.
