It is time to ban politicians from banning guns.
The left has been abusing the terminology for almost 25 years now.
The fact is, an assault rifle (sturmgewehr) is a rifle that has select-fire capabilites, like an M16 (full auto or semi-auto, based on a selector switch position). These are heavily restricted for civilian use, as they are NFA items.
An “assault weapon” is a scary, black thing that makes liberals wet their pants in abject fear, but is impossible for them to clearly define.

Why do undecided people answer a poll?
Isn’t an assault rifle a type of rifle that has that thingy just before the trigger that you wrap your hand around and that has that other thingy at the end of the barrel that hides the flash from the shooter?Put down your coffee cup before viewing!
Of course, a folding or adjustable stock will make it even deadlier.
