A professor of history turned to Twitter over the weekend to call for the death of National Rifle Association (NRA) CEO Wayne LaPierre, branding the gun rights group he heads as a terrorist organization.

“[I] want Wayne LaPierre’s head on a stick,” Erik Loomis, a professor at the University of Rhode Island (URI), tweeted.

Pharisee points for snagging a blog pimp; we’ll all hoist a shot of Two Cents Plain in your honor.

However, as of 6pm Pacific, no non-blog outlet is rolling with this story, so you either accept it from the blogger, or flush it down the memory hole, as the Left would prefer.

Given those choices, I’m thinkin’ we leave the blogger alone, and let the story get air.

There seems to be a growing prevailing (poor) attitude with “public” employees toward citizens these days.

I feel it will continue.

Law enforcement is no exception.

sad

It’s the same self-satisfied smirk. That’s what’s the same, IMHO.

If you’re referring to the FBI not calling you back to tell you what they did with your info you’re off base. They have never done that and have procedural rules as well as laws that negate doing that.

it was some mail using the FBI official web site, but had suspicious return mail info. I passed it along as it even was using an agents name, but had no contact info for that agent. It didn't smell right. I notified FBI. they acknowledged receipt, but that is all.

I do not expect much, but using “FBI” to sound official, I figured they want to stop that.

“unless they are in on it”...(sarc)

Don’t know him, or how it should be done, but I appreciate your reply. :-)

Drudge has a link up now.

They probably do want to stop that and may very well investigate it. They aren’t going to bring members of the public into their investigations and keep them apprised of their actions though. One, that could compromise their investigation and two, it could create legal liabilities for them. Very few LEAs other than Andy and Barney would do that.
