An emotional President Barack Obama led the nation in mourning the victims of an elementary school massacre on Friday, speaking from the White House following the shooting in Newtown, Conn.
The president not only pledged to assist investigations into the shooting, but also became openly emotional upon reflecting upon the many school children killed or injured in today's mass shooting.
"The majority of those who died today were children -- beautiful little kids between the ages of 5 and 10-years-old," he said, pausing to wipe away a tear. "They had their entire lives ahead of them -- birthdays, graduations, weddings, kids of their own."

He’s a clinical narcissist. He’s literally incapable of feeling empathy for anyone. Compare his face to that of Bush during 9/11. Bush looked defeated. He looked tired. He looked like an executive trying to hold it together but starting to crack at the edges.
Obama looked calm. He looked poised and rehearsed. The “tear” moment was nothing. Your tearducts are on the inside part of your eye, not the outside. When tears get to the outside of the eye, gravity and excessive tears have brought them there. Tears don’t just form in that part of the eye. It was a feint and a poor one at that. His eyes were as clear and white as someone in the middle of the work day.
Obama and the liberals were waiting for this moment, and now they have it. Our prayers to have our representatives hold fast need to be answered. At that point, it would be on Obama to issue EOs to ban firearms, and if he pulls shit like that, he’s going to get smacked down quicker than a mouthy kid in church.

It was also telling that he used his speech to start talking about enacting future preventive measures. How about just being sad and thoughtful for today, and maybe gathering a little information before contemplating responses(?)

The anti gun zealots didn’t wait long to use these dead children to push their agenda. If they have their way we will all have to cower in a closet and hope the killer runs out of bullets before he gets to us. That’s probably the only thing that kept this guy from killing two or three times more children. The police only arrived in time to document the death and destruction that took place. The killer was free to kill as many people as he wanted in a gun free zone. That probably wouldn’t have been the case had there been someone else in the school who was armed.
It must have been the visine or glycerin he’d put in his eyes. Great special effect there, Brownie. Heckuva job.

He wiped his eyes in the outside corner and at the bottom of his eye. I watched it twice. But, more telling, was his inability to keep talking, he had to pause twice and that was not fake as his lips trembled. To say he doesn’t care if 18 small children died, is bringing hatred to him that he doesn’t deserve in this situation. After he spoke, he quickly walked away, did not take a question.
I repeat, every liberal and conservative and President, mourn 18 small dead children.
Today, I am in mourning with every parent in America, including 0bama. This is an unspeakably heinous crime and my heart is breaking for all involved. I’m not into the “politics” of the situation, there will be plenty of time for that. Today, we pray.
I lost a 2 year old niece on 12/12 in a fire 15 years ago...and my daughtr lost her best friend to a car accident at the age of ten. The tragedy of a childhood cut short is devastating and affects so many. Today, we pray.
Why weren’t his eyes red? Why was there no glistening from water in his eyes? Why was there no sign of moisture anywhere around his eyes? Why did he use it as an opportunity to politicize gun control if he cared so much?

Was the NJ spree killer a pot-head too? Weren’t the original “assassins” kept high on hashish to enable their killing?
Doesn’t the detached, stoned, unfocused outlook allow one to do heinous things like this without the normal revulsion that one would feel that would prevent it?
Are we going to (re) ban pot if it turns out both shooters were pot heads? If not, why not?

Yes, kept wiping the outside of his lower lids (both eyes)...his eyes were really twitchy too, like something was in them - but no tears were there to wipe away.
Maybe his tear ducts are on the outside corners of his eyes, not the inside- like most humans.
