The snarky character axed from the A&E reality show Storage Wars and who now filed a bombshell lawsuit claiming the show is rigged has always been a trouble maker, production sources claim.
He was always demanding more this and that and whined that things were rigged when he was outbid, a show source said of David Hester, who sued the show and A&E Tuesday, alleging the entire series is a fraud.

Oh well I still have pro wrasslin’
Ask yourself how the camera got there--the drive up is all staged. The homeowner had already been contacted, and permission was granted to be on TV.
BTW, I get asked by a lot of cashiers why I don't participate on that show and I always answer, "Because I'm too good and I don't want to reveal all my secrets."
That's true. Like what would you rather have: A 20 year supply of mustard or a brand new laptop computer? Well, guess what? I got the latter via coupons. Also FREE gasoline. However, I don't want to reveal all my secrets because to do so would ruin it.
Oh, and I do a bit of the Barter Kings routine. My favorite maneuver is to pick up a couple dozen bottles of FREE body wash via coupons and then trade them for a bottle of Grey Goose vodka.
“Has anyone seen Amish Mafia yet?”
I watched both episodes with my wife the other night, in the middle of the 2nd episode we both looked at each other and at the same time said “FAKE”.
That show probably won’t be on long. Just my 2cent
HA, good one.
All reality shows are fake.
The viewers’ willingness to put their brains aside when watching is the amazing thing!
No I would not do that, but it is all staged anyway.lol
What gets me about that show, them driving all over the country, the price of gas, hotels, food, etc. THEN: They buy something for $25 or so, going to POP IT for $75, well MAYBE they will.
So for a $10, 20, 50 profit (maybe), they spend all that time & money to go out scavaging. There is no way they can make a profit, UNLESS the Cable Channels are subsidizing them.
But hey, they are having fun. Worst part of Pickers for me,is that gal with all those tatoos and ill fitted clothes. Looks like a biker gal tramp. Those guys think she's cute? uggggg, I turn the channel when she's on.
I have only seen a few such programs. One was Mystery Diners. The fakeness was apparent from the get-go. I suppose at best, they are re-enactments of something that may have happened; but the footage is definitely staged/faked.
You buy a locker and expect to find a vintage Russian Motorcycle, antique firearms, or anything else like this? Not hardly. Also, there’s no way a locker is going to set there for years without being opened and be full of vintage jewelry, etc. These things turn over very quickly.
I’ve done some locker buys as well. Got some good things, got some junk. They did Texas Storage Wars here earlier this year, completely staged.
For that matter, if you go out to the storage forums you will find that the producers will actually rent stuff (cannon, motorcycles, etc) to put in the storage lockers that are being “bid” on.
It looked like in the previews that one of the guys had a MR223.
Yeah, the one guy has several weapons, asault rifle and what looks like a Mossberg model 500 or model 88 pistol grip pump.
On the Hoarders show, sometimes I feel some of those are STAGED as well.
Pickers drive all over the country to find JUNK, why don't they hook up with the Hoarders show and scavage some of that junk? I've seen things thrown out on Hoarders, that the PICKERs drive all over the country to buy. ROFL.
Just remember that her two friends are simply modified sweat glands.
I think Dave’s ego took a big bruise, when Barry took him for $5000 on that sofa. Fake or not, I enjoyed it.
Always be leery when, in the beginnings of a lawsuit....the defendant starts “name calling” and makes “accusations”. They cannot refute any of the plaintiffs claims with facts.
Wow, so this “show” is real then.
Right - Amish folks HATE to be photographed. My friend took a couple pics of them as well and they didn’t look very happy in the pics.
Anything for a buck I guess...
A show source? Really? Hester had been asked from the beginning to salt the lockers with valuable stuff from his stores. He started asking about his, and others, legal liabilities. There were meetings between cast and management. Hester wanted to be indemnified against any legal actions. That’s when he got the boot.
DD totally cracks me up ... all of ‘em: Jace’s straight-faced talks with the camera, Phil-osophy, Si-ence Fiction, even the kids (Sadie learning to drive was a hoot). Best show in a long, long time - one you can actually laugh at and the people have values/morals on a (much) higher level than alley cats.
Yeah, I remember that episode. Maybe that was the start of Dave's anger.
