The snarky character axed from the A&E reality show Storage Wars and who now filed a bombshell lawsuit claiming the show is rigged has always been a trouble maker, production sources claim.
He was always demanding more this and that and whined that things were rigged when he was outbid, a show source said of David Hester, who sued the show and A&E Tuesday, alleging the entire series is a fraud.

That was one thing in the show that I think was NOT staged.
Realty television is NOT reality.
I don’t watch that one. A little too much contrived conflict. Same reason I don’t watch American Chopper... ever.
I do watch Pickers, American Restoration and Pawn stars.
Every single one of those shows is staged, and situations are contrived. Does it matter? And anyone who doesn’t realize that the shows are phony is extremely dense.
I only watch it for, um..two reasons...Brandi Passante.
Attorney: Mr. Hester. Is it your contention that "Storage Wars" is faked?
Dave Hester: YUUUUUUUUP!
I was at the gym on an elliptical and I was channel surfing and came across one of the Housewives show where all of them were at a mud bath. I swear they were all about to go lesbo any second.
of course they're all contrived...imagine driving up on someone's property in the country unannounced and ask to look around....many people would never allow it and might possibly pull a gun ....lol...
I don't think that helper of Brandi & Jarrod throwing an anger fit was contrived. No explanation was given and the others seemed embarrassed by it. Would love to find a link to that and what happened to that guy? I didn't see him on the show again.
Only “reality” show I watch is Duck Dynasty. And I don’t care if it’s staged, it’s still hilarious.
According to Dave, they're, I mean, she is fake.
She certainly is eye candy, but I almost feel sorry for Jarrod because she seems like she's a pouty, complaining beehutch most of the time. (The type of girl you might have a fling with, but wouldn't want to live with or marry...)
Anymore, the only reason I watch the show is to see what wacky thing Barry is up to that episode. However, recently it seems like the producers are pushing him to be even more wacky and off the wall than he really is and some of his hijink seems a bit staged and unnatural.
I’ve always assumed the show was rigged. I also thought I’d never want to have to get in a bidding contest when this was being taped.
Of course, I also think it hilarious how they show who won, half the time it seems based on what they say they will get for their own stuff, not what things actually sold for when they ended up in their stores.
I used to watch this show, mostly for Dave Hester, because he was hilarious. I didn’t really like the others, although Jarrod and Brandi are a pretty cool couple, working together on their business. I got to where I was always hoping they would do best, because I admired how they were trying to make a life for their family.
The rest were annoying, and I stopped watching when they brought the new guy on who had all the money and the sense of a snail.
I did like the excitement of finding cool stuff in lockers, of course in reality that almost never happens, which again made me think the show might have been rigged somehow.
If there really were that many great things in that many lockers, the locker owners would just hire a professional to come through the lockers and make the money for themselves, instead of the blind auction. Blind auction tells me that a vast majority are crap, so you are gambling on the occasional “win” and the house holds all the cards.
Thread is over, you won.
“Has anyone seen Amish Mafia yet?”
No. Without Googling, is is for real?
“I swear they were all about to go lesbo any second.”
The “Housewives” shows are brain-numbingly bad. I’ve watched ~1.5 total episodes (and that was when I was at my g/f’s). That Atlanta one gave me thoughts of turning fag rather than EVER touch any of those scags.
I actually did do some bidding on storage lockers when I lived in La-La Land. When I look back on it, I was amazingly spoiled. The bids were fairly low compared to now. It was rare for the bids to hit a hundred bucks. One time only two of us showed up at a storage auction and we agreed to keep the bids low. Like one unit I got for just $10. It had a directors chair and a bunch of jewelry in it. I sold the director’s chair right away for the cost of the unit and the jewelry I took to a club and told the personnel they could pay me for the pieces what ever THEY considered to be fair. I ended up getting about $200 but looking back on it, I know I could have gotten a cool thousand. Oh, and I was upset because I had to go to the “trouble” of cleaning out and removing the worthless junk in the unit. Like I said, it was easy back then so I got spoiled.
I don't get it. Amish folks HATE to be photographed. I took a pic of an Amish guy in Shipshewana, IN and he glared angrily at me. Then a local told me that photographing them was a no-no.
So yes, you've seen Amish Mafia then.
Like Dave Hester gloating over all the money he was going to make from a bunch of outdated computer equipment. Actually all computer equipment over about a year old is outdated and almost worthless.
Jarrod had some run-ins with the law when he was younger, and he seems to have cleaned up his act pretty well.
BTW, Barry is like a multimillionaire. It's nice that he doesn't just outbid everybody whenever he wants. But that's why he never sells anything.
