As you may remember, on March 29th we were reviewing another “exclusive” ABC release of George Zimmerman at Sanford Police Dept, when we noticed something odd, the video was/is actually a recording of a monitor. Initially we thought that meant it was not an official release. We were wrong.
ABC was given a digital Hi-def copy from the outset.We now know that ABC was the first to possess a digital copy of the actual CCTV recording. But they chose instead to use a lesser quality, and far lower definition, video. (This is what they aired)
Here’s the story:
On March 28th ABC’s Candace Smith (seen left) was the first to gain posession of the video.
On 3/28 she asked SPD for the video, the police department was initially not going to release it since the area covered by the camera view was considered a secured area and not subject to release without a judge’s order.
However, an attorney working for the city, Lonnie Groot, who was tasked with reviewing all the requests for information, agreed to release it since it was actually on the city’s servers.
Ms. Smith was provided a direct hi-def copy DVD; But for some reason she was unable to get it to load through their equipment (or so the story is told). Sources indicate she was quite agitated, and so, trying to meet a deadline, she went angrily to City Hall. Once there she raised quite a stink about SPD, not giving her and ABC suitable material, nor actually fulfilling the request.
The city played her copy on their equipment and showed her it worked.
Apparently, she was pushing to make a deadline to go on air and asked if she could just video the material from the city’s monitor. The request was granted. The video was filmed with a small minicam similar to the one held in this picture (above).
So yes, even though ABC had actual physical custody of a direct copy in High Def, the first airing to hit the public airwaves on March 28th was video of a video. Again, Ms. Candace Smith was the first to gain access to this video. Subsequently, more media copies were made for all the requests that followed.
If you recall, all the commentary about that video were framed to a narrative ”showing no injuries, no blood etc,” this mantra was repeated several times throughout the initial showing and then picked up by other media outlets using the EXACT same footage.
Here is where the agenda shows, and it appears that ABC may have intentionallly played this video using a ridiculous low resolution on purpose so that no identifying injuries could be noticed. After all, this was the main point of their reporting on the “exclusive”.

Zimmerman should amend his defamation complaint to add ABC as a defendant.
I think the Left believes they live in that world. They can say anything:
We have a grainy video and it proves Zimmerman was not injured
We have a Youtube video, and that's why the Libyans attacked our embassy in Benghazi
We have a doctored birth certificate, so Obama is eligible to be president.
They can say anything, and they are sure that the public will buy it. This game cannot go on forever.
I pray the jury awards him a trillion dollars !

Speaking of which, if Zimmerman is found guilty, does that impact his suit against NBC? Is that NBC's only defense, hoping that Zimmerman is found guilty?
I agree with you, but on the other hand at the rate the Fed is going, a trillion dollars might not be worth very much in the near future.

Even if he is found guilty, NBC can’t get around the fact that they edited the 911 transcript to make it appear that Zimmerman volunteered the information that the suspect was black, i.e. that he was a racist. But in fact the 911 operator asked him about it, which was edited out. A whole different picture emerges, independently of whether (or not) he was justified in shooting Martin as he did.
The MSM was out to get Zimmerman - he should sue all of 'em.
Zimmerman won’t be found guilty. There’s still am important piece of evidence for which no report has surfaced. I believe the firearm malfunction alone will prove him innocent.

Unless we stop the progressives before they reach critical mass, I fear that this game can indeed go on forever. The quote from O’Brien covers so much of what is actually going on, from the destruction of our cultural heroes like Jefferson and Lincoln to the displays of raw power we have recently seen, and the suggestions that some of our leader are motivated by hate. Consider Benghazi and the way the story is going down the memory hole, and the way the first World Trade Center attack apparently never happened since 9-11 was the “first attack by terrorists on our soil”. The trivialization of sex.
Good question. Depends on what “conviction” means.
Generally a conviction destroys the civil case.
Here however, if Zimmerman gets convicted because the jury pool was tainted by the false MSM coverage, then his damages go through the roof. (And more important, it would be great grounds for appeal and eventual reversal of the conviction). So ultimately there wouldn’t be a conviction in the criminal case, but a multi-billion dollar award against NBC, ABC, et al, ad nauseum, in the civil case.
So it proves that she knew the narrative they were presenting was false. She just reasoned that the low-grade video would allow them to get away with lying.
Is this the video where ABC strategically placed a logo to block the view of Zimmerman’s head?
Elaborate please. I never heard of the weapon malfunctioning.
