Surprisingly, an election is not looming in North Korea, and hasn’t been for decades.
Kim Jong Un is stroking his ego. Unfortuntely, we’re all sanctioned out with the Norks. Nothing more we can do.

In fact there are South Koreans who state that all the SK/NK friction is owing to US troops being stationed in SK.
While that is silly I am coming around to agreeing with them that we might be better off simply bringing our boys home.
Enforce SK borders while ignoring our own? I am hard-pressed to find a historical precident for that.
It’s unsustainable.

Just today I read on 38 North Blog that they had removed the missile from the launch pad in order to repair it, something about bad weather damaging the missile on the pad.

Radio enthusiasts hoping to listen to catch the sounds from the satellite can tune into 479MHz. North Korean officials say they will play music continuously on that frequency.
