NEW YORK Storage Wars may have a real war brewing with one of its stars.
Dave Hester , one of the shows cast members, has filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the show, according to RadarOnline.
In his lawsuit, Hester is claiming the series is fake, and he says when he made complaints to the network about the staged portions of the show he was fired, Radar reported.

I think the auctions are real, but the show plants certain items in the unit before they unload it.
A relative of mine has made his living buying storage bins for decades. 80-90% of what he buys gets hauled to the dump. Every once in a while he’ll find something nice, but it’s rare. His problem started with Antiques Roadshow, which he says made everyone think that their old stuff was automatically a treasure. Storage Wars just clutters the storage auctions with people who think there are treasures in the bins, causing the price they pay for the bins to go up past what they’re worth. He has largely left the business since the show started.
I do think that storage units closer to the up-scale neighborhoods will tend to have better merchandise than elsewhere. I also think that units that are packed with stuff are a sign of someone who couldn’t throw away or sell anything, so maybe a little higher likelihood of something useable.
I liked Pawn Stars when it first came on. I still like it a little - I visited the shop a few weeks ago when I was in Vegas.
But the newer shows have them bringing in "experts" for practically everything. The shows moves much more slowly.
And if you go to the shop, it is *small* and the stuff is mostly overpriced, I suppose because tourists want to come in and buy "something". I saw a 1921 silver dollar with a price tag of $400. I used to collect coins and have a few of these and they aren't worth nearly that much.

There are purported mugshots of Brandi out there ... rumor is that she previously worked as a stripper..
He should have taken their money and shut his yap.
Likely guilty but eligible for a BJ Clinton post-POTUS pardon....
Often says “Jarrod is an idiot...”?
Indeed, I did the auction thing part time with a neighbor up the street and then we would sell in a yard sale setting.
Made some decent money for a while but as the concept caught on, too many people started showing up and driving the bids up too high.
I have to admit though, digging through other peoples personal belongings was very creepy and I didn't like profiting from their loss.
We did try to return personal items like pictures and such.
I’m not sure if you noticed, but one coke machine was brought in to be restored and the post-restoration version was a totally different model, inside and out. That would be like bringing in a 40 Ford to be restored and driving out with a 57 Chevy.
I heard she fakes it also.
“the whole show was set up, fake.. all those shows are complete fake, with fights and arguments all set up as part of a script.”
Who’s watchin??
Most of TeeVee is fake, bait to suck up to Auto’s—Banks—Bank loans, Insurance—Auto’s—Bank loans, Banks-—Credit-—Bank loans.
Any of the Massachusetts insurers go out of business with Extortion Care?
Oh, I know it happens. It’s just not that convenient while on camera.
Let me call in a buddy to come take a look.....
Seriously, all those shows are fake to one level or another. They filmed one of the Storage Wars Texas episodes in town a few months ago and everyone who went to watch all said it was completely staged, down to moving in junk in empty lockers and setting up fake bidding. The Duck Dynasty folks aren’t too far from here and I’ve heard the same thing. All the beards, cammo, and drawl are all production driven. I know if you go to look up people like the contestants on Hells Kitchen, they are all models or actors, not actually chefs.
Guess you never heard of overhead or cost of doing business.
I've been in the shop, you?
Wrestling is not fake. The fighting is real, we just always know who’s going to win.
I checked!
Good Riddance.
Brandi is the show's big star!
Went there two years ago. Looks a lot bigger on TV.
Not true, some states domestic violence, restraining orders prohibit gun ownership.
The original Fire Arms Control act of '68 included misdemeanor's as well, though IIRC they rescinded the domestic violence because so many cops had domestic violence issues.
by its terms explicitly prohibits the use, attempted use, or threatened use of physical force against such intimate partner or child that would reasonably be expected to cause bodily injury; or (9) has been convicted in any court of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.
