Asking directions is not my favorite thing to do. I always feel that if I stay at it long enough Ill eventually find my way. My wife, Martie, on the other hand, is always quick to ask directions and incredulous about my unwillingness to admit that I dont have a clue about where Im going. In the end, she is the wiser one. She gets to her destination quickly and without angst while I end up getting lost.
Thinking that we are smart enough to navigate life on our own goes contrary to the warning of Scripture that tells us, There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death (Prov. 16:25). When we are at a fork in the road, we need to stop and consult the ways of the Lord, for the ways of the Lord are right (Hos. 14:9).
Life is a directional enterprise. Its vitally important to know how to successfully direct our lives toward blessed and peaceful relationships, meaningful acts of love and service, a fulfilling experience with God, and a host of other vitally important destinations.
Asking God for directions isnt just a good ideaits critical. Trust in the Lord with all your heart . . . and He shall direct your paths (Prov. 3:5-6).

I spent 1977 to 1981 at WPAFB. Lots of things happened there in those four years. The tanker wing had an annual event where they took spouses for a ride in a KC135. One of them augured in and it was discovered that one of the wives had the stick. That ended that nonsense. One of my friends got stuck in the US Embassy in Iran for 444 days—thanks to the fool Jimmie Carter. Jimmie Carter tried to allow Dayton to annex the base, thus securing the civilian employees’ salaries for Dayton income tax. fortunately for my civilian compatriots that failed. it was an eventful four years.
Less than 2 Miles from my house! I have been several times. Don’t forget to visit the Presidential section. ( you have to catch a bus to take you to the other side of the runway.) They have Kennedy AF1. lots of history here.
The museum has a great collection of USAF and some from our allies in past wars. It is funded by donations, not the government. Please visit and please give a donation as admission is free.
They have a lot of top secret UFO stuff there too. Most people think it’s at Area 51, but that’s just a ruse. ;)
I do a lot of work for folks there, but have never been there.
I would LOVE to go to the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patt!...and I know Mr. LUV would, since he was in the AF himself!
Thanks, galz, for this great thread!
Thank you Kathy. WPAFB is one of my favorite bases. Spent a lot of years there and visit frequently. AF Museum is awesome!

Well, I'm hoping to be around more today.
Got the reports done and only need to update one more.

you'll know I got pulled away by work.
Please stay.

Hi Kathy! ((HUGS!!)) I was at Wright Patt in the early 80’s. It is a great base. Fantastic mission, fantastic people and the weather sucks about 80% of the time.
