Something similar happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I was in a drugstore checkout line behind some youngish woman (20s) and after she’d been waited on, I stepped up to the counter to use my debit card. She remained at my elbow, for some inexplicable reason. I wanted to avoid a conflict, so managed to angle my body in such a way as to keep my purchase private.

My transaction completed, she didn’t move aside as I left the counter and made my way out the store. I guess she was waiting for the next customer.

But, can't you see? The thugs, who were trying to steal her debit card password, only spit on her... and then even tried to help clean-off the spit by beating her repeatedly on the head with gallon jugs of windshield wiper fluid.

Can't you see? Again, "the police acted stupidly." And again, 'Obama's/Holder's people' are profiled as criminal even when they are being 1st victimized and then trying to help.

When I finish a transaction at the checkout, I always step out of the way of the line so that I can put my receipt in my purse and pull out my keys. I can’t ever recall someone being in my way while I pay for my purchases. Maybe I’m just lucky or my preschooler scares them enough to make them keep a distance ;)
