Obama: Give Me Debt Ceiling Power Or I’ll Veto My Own Tax Proposal

In case there is still anyone out there that continues to believe that the 2008 campaign lines that Barack Obama gave about changing the way Washington works, stopping “politics as usual,” and providing more transparency in government are true, then get a load of this. On Wednesday, Obama demonstrated just how partisan and how much of a power grabber he is. He indicated that if he were not given unlimited powers to raise the debt ceiling, apart from Congressional approval, that he might just veto his own tax hike proposal should it come to his desk.

As Obama addressed corporate CEOs at the Business Roundtable, he told them that business leaders “should not accept going through” another debt-ceiling crisis like the one that occurred in 2011, which caused stocks to fall and ended with the first U.S. credit rating downgrade.

Hussein wants the same dictator power as Pharoah Morsi in Egypt has. It does not matter what the law is.

Congress does not have to do anything. Obama ignores the law anyway. If he says the debt goes to 20 Trillion now and he is giving himself a 4 trillion raise, so be it. Who is going to stop it? The Senate? The Supreme Court? Nobody will stop him from outspending the debt ceiling. It is meaningless.

Obama currently outspends government revenue by $2 Trillion per year anyway. So he needs a 25 Trillion ceiling just to finish out his Second Term, at the current spending rate.

Go ahead veto your tax proposal Mr Kenyatta. It is the spending problem you have that you need to worry about. Not having the revenue does not seem to be your issue. Fiscal cliff indeed.

No, he’s not insane, he’s quite sane. He’s playing the ultimate game, he’s seeing exactly how far he can go, and what he can get away with; and dragging the Repubs and Dems along with him (or seeing exactly WHO he can drag and how far). I really pray that the Repubs are not STUPID enough to fall for this, and I’m a little scared that a few are that STUPID.

This man has been given everything he ever wanted from childhood to now.

He is acting like an entitled dictator.

Will congress try to slow his grasp for power?

Obama Regime Labor Union, (ORLU), makes demands to get more spending money, or will go on the Obama Spending Cliff strike.

This is where we will find out if the Re[publican Party is owned by the same people who own the Democrat Party. f so those people belong to the Communist Party. It is as simple and as sad as that.

We’ve got to get back to a real currency standard, that is the only way to really control government spending. With a real standard, the government doesn’t have the option to spend first and pay later, because they can’t print money on demand. Plus, there would be no more hidden tax of perpetual inflation foisted on us.

The worst we would probably have to worry about was obtaining enough of whatever backing we use to keep up with the growth of the economy and avoid currency shortages. Heck, our money could actually increase in value for once, if demand for the backing exceeded supply.

This is plain and simple nothing more than TERRORIST MENTALITY.

In case you've forgotten, that's the mentality that says, "I'll destroy myself in order to destroy you."

Obozo is really beginning to press his luck and he has NOT yet been sworn in for a 2nd term.

You see?
And some Rs want to make it easy for him to blame Republicans for hiking taxes on the middle class. Some actually want to hold those middle class <=$250K tax cuts hostage for some unknown principle in a battle that cant be won, and be exactly what O has accused them of for 4 years.

Call Os bluff. (The House) Extend the tax cuts for <$250K and declare victory, middle class saved and the crisis over. Tell O to go to hell on the rest.

Come on folks, this is so obvious.

Yes I know Rush is really upset that he will have to pay higher taxes, Hannity is too. But lets not HELP Obama destroy all effective opposition to him over that.

Not only is zero’s demand for sole control of the debt ceiling limit preposterous, but also it illustrates an appalling failure to approach these “fiscal cliff negotiations” in anything close to good faith.
Because zero’s demand is so far out in left field (actually not even in the ball park), I see it less as a tactic employed by a seasoned negotiator and more of sign that he does not give a damn about the economy.

He and Pelosi and Reid and.... are all nuts/insane. He doesn’t really have to make good on his threat to veto his own bill because it’s so bad Reid won’t even let it come up for a vote because most of the Dims in the Senate may be rabid liberals, but won’t vote for it.

If they give it to him, then they should just shut down Congress and go home.
