WASHINGTON (CBS DC) The word lunatic will be stricken from federal law under legislation that passed the House by a vote of 398-1 on Wednesday.
The congressional action is the most recent effort to eliminate language from the U.S. code that has become outdated or demeaning. Two years ago, Congress removed references in federal law to the term mental retardation.
Lunatics prefer to be called “mentally diseased moon enthusiasts.”
I’m curious to know who the “1” was who voted against it. A lone “lunatic”?
So, does this mean you can no longer plead insanity after killing someone?
I prefer “nut.”
Left wing “lunatic” will remain.
“Im curious to know who the 1 was who voted against it. A lone lunatic?”
My money is on Congressman Hank Johnson of Georgia.
too many people use “lunatic” in place of “congresskritter”
PINK FLOYD
Brain Damage
The lunatic is on the grass
The lunatic is on the grass
Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs
Got to keep the loonies on the path
The lunatic is in the hall
The lunatics are in my hall
The paper holds their folded faces to the floor
And every day the paper boy brings more
And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forbodings too
I’ll see you on the dark side of the moon
The lunatic is in my head
The lunatic is in my head
You raise the blade, you make the change
You re-arrange me ‘till I’m sane
You lock the door
And throw away the key
There’s someone in my head but it’s not me.
And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear
You shout and no one seems to hear
And if the band you’re in starts playing different tunes
I’ll see you on the dark side of the moon

I think it’s marvellous! HaHaHa!”
Two years ago, Congress removed references in federal law to the term mental retardation....
Retards and lunatics...They were just getting a little self-concious with the terminology.
What a bunch of “retards” in Congress. Oops, guess I should be looking for the knock on the door from language police. Surprised the DC “lunatics” haven’t outlawed the word, niggardly. Can I still call someone stupid?
Apparently congress realizes they are the lunatics!
I imagine the one vote against removing the word lunatic was the only one who isn’t a lunatic
The other 398 votes were lunatics offended at being labled a lunatic.
Remember the latin root word of politic is “many” “blood sucking parasites”.
Lunatic also applies to the average politician. Luna = Moon-bat crazy. Tics = “blood sucking parasites”.
With all of hussein’s EOs, this is all that’s left for the Congressional Branch.
“Two years ago, Congress removed references in federal law to the term mental retardation.
The term was replaced with “progessive liberalism”.

The lunatics in the House and Senate may think by removing the word they can hide their conditions, but they can’t!
I wonder how much money it is going to cost to re-print all of the statutes and other documents using the word “lunatic.”
