The president and CEO of conservative group American Majority Action (AMA) is demanding Republicans band together to fire House Speaker John Boehner.
“Speaker Boehner has been an abysmal failure as speaker, and his latest purge is the nail in the coffin for conservatives,” AMA’s Ned Ryun said in a statement. “Boehner has never won a negation battle with the White House or Senate—and he’s been nothing short of an embarrassing spokesman for the Conservative Movement. It’s time for him to go.”
Ryun pointed out, too, that if conservatives want to unseat Boehner, they’d only need 16 members to abstain from supporting him in January.

If Only 16 members vote present, and Bonehead does not elected outright,
It could open the door and buy time to replace him.
At the very least, it would send a message back to Bonehead.
At best, it could provide a real chance to remove him.

I’m not as upset with him as many here. However, I believe it would be in the best interests of the GOP and country to remove him from being Speaker.
I think Paul Ryan would be a serious slap in Obama’s face and send a serious message to Obama....to “knock off the arrogance and deal...you didn’t win a mandate.”

The majority party in the House holds the speakership. Sweet Nancy can only be the minority leader. Boehner needs 218 votes. We need 16 Pubbies to say no or abstain from voting for him.

If 16 Republicans refuse to support Boehner, Nancy will find a few votes for him in exchange for tactical favors like bringing to the floor legislation that can be passed with a minority of the GOP caucus plus Democrat votes.

So, are there any Freepers that live in Boner’s district? If there are, you need to tell us why he’s been continually re-elected, and if there are any weaknesses in his appeal to his constituents. I would propose that the dissatisfied voters in his district start making noises about primarying him. This would be, of course, on top of efforts to topple him as speaker. He is the biggest pantload in the Congress today.
