C'mon Now, GOP, Don't Go Wobbly on Us
Sarah Palin's Facebook Notes ^ | December 4, 2012 | Sarah Palin

Posted on 12/04/2012 9:29:15 AM PST by Timber Rattler

Please read and pass along this article. We send good conservatives to D.C. to fulfill the promises they made to the electorate, and yet when they stay true to their word the permanent political class in their own party punishes them. This won't be forgotten come 2014. Right now the GOP establishment is more concerned about the opinion of the media and the Georgetown cocktail circuit than they are “we the people” who hired them. For all this new talk of how the GOP needs a “populist movement,” it would do them good to remember they already have one; it’s called the Tea Party movement, and it won for them the majority they now enjoy in the House.

Fellow Conservatives:

Shortly after the election, we told you House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) — the highest ranking Republican in Congress — was open to raising taxes on the American people.

Speaker Boehner’s office said we were wrong and quickly walked back his statement that Republicans would “accept new revenue, under the right conditions.”

It turns out we were right.

Yesterday, Speaker Boehner outlined his plan to address the fiscal cliff, which would force Americans taxpayers to turn over $800 billion more of their money to the federal government in higher taxes.

This is a huge tax increase and it doesn’t matter how it’s collected. It’s a massive power grab that will take productive resources out of the private economy and hand them over to incompetent politicians.

Speaker Boehner is apparently not only willing to capitulate on the biggest issue that separates Republicans from Democrats, he’s also willing to push Republicans into breaking a solemn pledge they made to voters.

The last time Republicans caved on tax hikes was in 1990 when President George H.W. Bush broke his famous “read my lips: no new taxes” pledge. It cost him the election and Republicans vowed to never repeat the mistake.

URGENT: CONTACT YOUR SENATORS http://www.senateconservatives.com/site/whiplist/6?c=9bc44b50d79ec4c391774ae5a7a52e0f

Please contact Senate Republicans today and urge them to oppose the Boehner Tax Hike.

America doesn’t have a tax revenue problem; it has a spending problem. We’re never going to get Washington to stop the spending if we keep letting politicians take more and more of our money.

If President Obama and the Democrats are determined to send the country over the fiscal cliff with higher taxes, they should be forced to take full responsibility for it. Republicans should never, ever, support such a harmful policy.

If the liberals in this country expect conservatives to give up, they don’t know who they’re dealing with. We believe in our principles because they’re true and we’re never going to stop fighting for them.

Best regards,

Matt Hoskins
Executive Director
Senate Conservatives Fund

Agreed. This will last beyond my grand children’s lifetime, at a minimum.

Oh Conservatives will win a little here, a little there for awhile. But whoever doesn’t think that America hasn’t fundamentally, and permanently changed, is fooling themselves.

—mostly agree with you but think the social, political and economic situation will in a few years more closely resemble a mixture of Venezuela, Brazil and Argentina-—

The GOP are become the Judenrat of our generation.

Make no mistake.

The GOP are now Collaborators and Collusionists with the MarxoFascists and the Ruling Class in the GOP is now engaged in purging/eradicating Conservatives and the Conservative ideology from having any voice whatsoever in national politics.

They are now an enemy. Anyone wanting to work within the GOP are simply Judenrat supporters.

Just don’t re-elect him Speaker. It will take less than 20 next Congress.

Pretty sad that the rest of the GOP House would not even nominate another to run against him for the Speakership in 2013. Hierarchy in the House, Hierarchy in the Senate, Hierarchy to become a Presidential nominee or to run as a member of either the Dem or GOP Party for any statewide position.....I am DONE with this Hierarchy crap!!

Disagree about the time frame to collapse, of course collapse does not mean restoration, we could go very deep before seeing the light. Germany went very deep before it recognized just how bad it was, by then the price had to be payed in a river of blood. How much more will the world pay should we take that downward spiral, with the massive war machine we’ve built and an administration frantically searching for a scapegoat, jews beware america searching for someone to blame!

Perhaps we could mesmerize the Ill-Informed Voters with that little dance during the next election cycle?

Sorry Sarah.

We've figured out 'wobbly' is their middle name.

If only it were that easy.... Instead what the voters need (and what they are going to get) is a swift kick in the ass and a quick pinch of their wallets as delivered by the Democrats, who will of course say that the Republicans did it.

If the GOP succumbs to Obama and the dems. There is an alternative and we can send a message! Those of us who are registered Republican should in mass change our registration to un-enrolled. It should be a protest and organised for a day or week long period. 15 million repubs changing our registration would send a message that could not be ignored.

And this is over a 10 year period, so that's $80 billion in new revenue when we are overspending at a rate of $1.3-1.5 Trillion per year. NOT EVEN A DENT! This is NOT a revenue problem and, using a line from Obama himself, you cannot TAX our way out of this mess.
