Britons are stockpiling arms, food, and even condoms Some have secret hideaways away from towns and cities for when the apocalypse strikes They all appear in a documentary on people preparing for disaster Mayan calendar has predicted the apocalypse on December 21, 2012
The Mayan calendar predicts that the end of the world is less than a month away - but there are some Britons who are taking the doomsday prophecy more seriously than mos
Meet the UK's 'preppers'- people who are preparing for Armageddon behind closed doors. Between them they fear a new dark age, natural disasters, a solar flare, and a world without law and order.
They spend their entire lives and thousands of pounds preparing for disaster.
Retired soldier Michael Sanderson lives with his wife and two young daughters in Hertfordshire but has a trailer ready for them to escape to a secret Welsh hideaway at 15 minutes' notice.
Mr Sanderson, who served in the Falklands and Northern Ireland, said: 'Im preparing for a natural disaster.
'Bad things do happen, peoples homes do get burned down, there are floods, there are catastrophic events that affect people completely.
'If you go too late, youre dead. People say to me "why are you a prepper?" And Im always baffled by it, because what I say to people is, I dont understand why youre not.

Considering that you’d probably be “bound up” for a year after downing a jar of PB, I’d say that a 2-year supply would be 2 jars.

Only if that is all you eat. It’s just one of many sources of protein that kids of all ages like around here.LOL.
Nice deal.
Thanks for your accounting! I got an internet tickle yesterday. It said that Calvin Coolidge -— During family vacations he would arrange for his boys to do some farm work. He would rent them out! He would send them out to labor with the peasants. For compensation of course. The boys introduction to the world of work
Most likely being a sustained failure of the electrical grid which could be caused by a well planned terrorist attack on all of their country's power sources.
How would they cope with the loss of electrical power for a month? Markets would be devoid of food within two days.
The frozen food in their freezers would be thawed out within 24 hours.
Gasoline would be unavailable since stations rely on electricity for their pumps to function.
Patients in their hospitals relying on life support systems would be dead within 24 hours.
Pharmaceuticals required to sustain life would no longer be delivered to their pharmacies.
With no electricity, doctors' offices would be closed and hospitals shut down.
After a week of no electricity, no gasoline and no access to food stuffs, chaos would then set in.
Those people over there are clueless as evidenced by the comments. But what the hell, they've come to rely completely on their government to meet their every need......
At least the preppers are prepared and I applaud them for it.......
Whassup with that site, I have a registered account but everything I try to post is never shown...................
Smother them in ketchup or toss them in an omelet.
Besides they are for when TSHTF. We won’t be so picky then.
I was there one time and my daughter-in-law is an actress and was in a play where the theaters are. We went to a restaurant to eat after the play, and there was a buzz in the crowd and policemen were everywhere. A terrible disaster had just happened. Someone had killed a person with a knife. It was as if the world had ended. Everyone was shocked.
The next day, a reenactment of the murder was done to try to give the cops a lead. I don't know if they ever caught who did it, but that was the only murder in England at that time to talk about and was all over the paper. How many people in this country get killed in one day?
People get murdered there by knives, pills, strangling by hands, hanging, beating until dead, etc., but that's done inside - seldom is there a murder “in public”.
As far as English people storing, I doubt many do. This generation are the children and grandchildren of those who went through WWII. In my opinion, having gone there for over 20 years and mingled with the people, there is still a mindset to “endure” hardship rather than use innovation or preparation to make it better. Yes, my daughter-in-law is a freaking English liberal and thinks I am crazy for prepping and her upper lifestyle friends think the same.
So, I'm there one time and the water went off. There was one small bottle of unopened water in that house. The water was off for hours and no one knew why. Well, if they had stored some water, they would have been fine until it finally came back.
I've got other stories about that country, having lived there for weeks at a time over the many years.
You don't want to live there in an emergency.
I see about half of what I post at the UK Daily Mail go through. I hear they are the biggest newspaper site. Most trafficked. My opinion is they farm out a lot of commentary monitoring to India etc so you Mr Hot Tabasco are in a catch as catch can situation.
Ok then. Glad it wasn’t too much. I just seem to get a little carried away with yesteryear from time to time.
LOL. A little manual work is good for the soul, physical health and builds character too.
They call it Mayan calendar fear but it is really fear of the muslim crazies the British left has encouraged and allowed to run amok.
Same thing is gradually happening here with the American left, crazy muslims and Holders People.
no wheel. They never invented and used this
no primitive metallurgy such as copper
lots of human sacrifice
My word!
They must have been muslims!

I admire their spirit, but look how pathetic their weapons are.
They are going to be reduced to bladed weapons on a bloody battlefield.
I’m so thankful for our 2nd Amendment.
We must never, ever let them take away the 2nd Amendment, in any way, shape, or form.
Exactly! You get it!!!
A shot a what??? Real preppers have a store of Jim Beam socked away for trading purposes. When the SHTF it will buy you unimaginable stuff and in the vein of your #4 prepper rule
