Definitely - turning out people to vote against her.
Out here in the real word living in a swing state, and actually talking to independents, and a lot of people that mostly vote Republican - people literally burst out laughing at the idea of her running for President. There is such general contempt for her that is infinitely beyond that felt for Romney that it is inconceivable it could ever be overcome.
She'd probably be running against Hilary and would do worse with women than Romney.
Disagree (strongly) with your view.
Palin would have destroyed Obama in the debates and shown everyone the media was lying about her being dumb:

You are correct
I just love posts like yours. When people make claims like yours, the truth always turns out to be something quite a bit less impressive, like the guy's mother-in-law, his wife, and a few old farts at the local Lions Club, who don't like Palin.
The day after the 2012 election, Greta VanSusteren had a poll up on her Fox News blog which asked the question: "Now that Obama has won re-election, who do you feel is the leader of the Republican party?"
Perhaps a dozen high profile, nationally known Republican figures were named, and Sarah Palin was voted #1 with over 40% of the vote.
How's that for "general contempt"?
She’d probably be running against Hilary and would do worse with women than Romney.
It may be sexist and it certainly is unfair but, Hilliary has exceeded her appearance expiration date.
I agree. It's amazing how tone-deaf some people here are. Palin is a wonderful person who has done some great things for conservatives but she will never be President. Sure, she'd rally the base but she'd send everyone else fleeing.
The difficulty for Republicans right now will be finding that candidate who can unite conservatives, moderates and independents. We can't win without all three groups.
